- No separate claim is needed. SFEC is calculated automatically once the course fee grant is approved and is paid quarterly to your company's IRAS GIRO or PayNow Corporate account.
Any unused balance of the current SFEC expires on 30 November 2026.
Redesigned SFEC from 1 December 2026
Companies with at least 3 resident employees receive a fresh $10,000 in an online SFEC wallet that offsets out-of-pocket fees upfront at enrolment, instead of reimbursing them afterwards. SWDA has not yet published the support rates and claim steps; see OurWorkforce or our SFEC guide.

How to Apply PSEA
Singapore Citizens with a Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA), which stays open until around the year you turn 31, can use it to pay the course fee after funding for PSEA-approved courses. You can also use a sibling's PSEA after your own has been used up.
- Check that this course shows the PSEA tag on its MySkillsFuture page.
- Check your PSEA balance on MOE's Student Finance System with Singpass.
- Download and complete the PSEA withdrawal form, then submit it to us.
- We submit the withdrawal request to MOE. You (and your sibling, if you are using their account) authorise it in the Student Finance System. Nothing is withdrawn without this authorisation.
- MOE pays us directly. If you have already paid, we refund the amount covered by PSEA.
More details: MOE PSEA overview.
Appeal Process
If you disagree with an assessment decision, you have the right to appeal.
- When the assessor gives you feedback, say whether you agree with the outcome. If you agree, you and the assessor sign the Assessment Summary Record; if you disagree, do not sign it.
- Discuss the decision with the assessor or the assessment manager first.
- If you are still not satisfied, tell the assessor you intend to appeal. The assessor records this in the feedback section of the Assessment Summary Record and informs the assessment manager.
- Lodge your appeal within 7 days, giving your reasons, using the Candidate Appeal Form. The assessor can help you write and lodge it.
- An Assessment Appeal Panel reviews the information from you and the assessor and makes a decision. A record of the appeal and its outcome is kept.
- You will be told the outcome within 2 weeks of lodging the appeal. The panel's decision is final.

Mohan Pothula is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and enterprise architect with more than 20 years of experience leading cloud and DevOps transformations for financial, media and telecommunications organisations. In senior architecture roles at DBS Bank, SPH Media and Mediacorp, he designed cloud-native platforms on AWS, Azure and Kubernetes and drove large-scale cloud migration and data platform modernisation. His DevOps toolkit includes Docker, Jenkins, Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, and he has implemented container orchestration and deployment automation across multiple enterprise environments. He also holds certifications in AWS Solutions Architecture and Cloudera Administration, and he designs secure architectures aligned with banking and regulatory standards. His career spans system administration, networking and virtualisation as well as enterprise architecture, so he understands Kubernetes from the node operating system up to the managed cloud services. As a mentor and technical lead, he has guided engineering teams in adopting scalable cloud architectures and implementing CI/CD pipelines that meet stringent security standards.
In WSQ - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Training, Mohan guides learners along the same path he followed to certification. Participants install and configure kubectl, run Minikube on Linux and Windows, and write pod manifests in YAML before moving on to ReplicaSets, Deployments, rollbacks, maxSurge and maxUnavailable, DaemonSets, node affinity, taints and tolerations and resource limits. They then expose workloads with NodePort and LoadBalancer services, deploy Helm charts and Ingress controllers, and secure the cluster with service accounts, tokens, ClusterRoles, TLS certificates and Secrets, before tackling storage, cluster maintenance and troubleshooting. Drawing on his enterprise DevOps work, he explains why each control matters in a regulated production environment, not just how to type the command. Along the way he shares practical tips for working efficiently under exam conditions, such as generating manifests from the command line and verifying every change before moving on. Having earned the CKA himself, he knows where candidates typically lose time, and he structures practice so that learners repeat the core cluster tasks until they can complete them quickly and confidently. His structured labs build the speed and accuracy needed for the exam and the confidence to run Kubernetes at work.
Dr. Alfred Ang is a full-stack AI developer and DevOps practitioner who holds both the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certifications. As Managing Director, CIO, CTO and Chief Instructional Designer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd and founder of Tertiary Courses, he leads multidisciplinary teams in both software delivery and workforce upskilling, designing Skills Framework-aligned WSQ and IBF programmes in AI, cloud computing, data engineering and cybersecurity. He deploys what he builds: his ai-mms franchise learning platform runs on Docker and Coolify across the Singapore, Malaysia and Ghana sites, other applications such as his localtourguides marketplace are deployed on Coolify as well, and his public skills repository includes a Docker Hub push automation. He also maintains GitHub Actions release pipelines that build and submit his mobile apps automatically on every push. His cloud credentials include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AI Practitioner and Cloud Practitioner, alongside CompTIA Security+, PMP and ITIL. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUS and an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU, and his GitHub portfolio of more than 300 public repositories reflects his commitment to building in the open. He is also an ACTA-certified trainer and DACE-certified curriculum developer, and his experience spans system architecture, security, observability and performance optimisation, with a strong emphasis on real-world deployment. He founded Tertiary Robotics in 2015 and Tertiary Courses Malaysia, and has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and worked in the defence, electronics and semiconductor industries.
In WSQ - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Training, Dr. Ang guides learners from first principles to exam readiness. Participants install and configure kubectl, run Minikube on Linux and Windows, and write pod manifests in YAML, then master labels and selectors, ReplicaSets, Deployments, rollbacks, maxSurge and maxUnavailable, DaemonSets, node affinity, taints and tolerations and resource limits. They expose applications with NodePort and LoadBalancer services, deploy Helm charts and Ingress controllers, and secure the cluster with service accounts, tokens, ClusterRoles, TLS certificates and Secrets before moving on to storage, maintenance and troubleshooting. Having passed both the CKA and CKAD himself, he shares the exam techniques that matter most, such as generating manifests from the command line and verifying each change, and he links every topic to the realities of keeping production services running. His hands-on, lab-driven style means learners spend most of their time at the terminal. He pays particular attention to the security topics, explaining how authentication, authorisation, certificates and Secrets work together to protect a cluster, and why least-privilege access matters in any organisation. He encourages learners to time themselves on repeated tasks, measure their progress and focus revision on the areas where they are slowest. Learners also see how the same Helm and Ingress skills are used to publish real applications securely to the internet. Participants leave able to install, secure and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and prepared for the CKA exam. Explore his open-source DevOps and AI projects on GitHub at https://github.com/alfredang or connect with him on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/angchewhoe/
Truman Ng is a highly credentialed IT professional with extensive expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking and enterprise systems administration. He holds advanced certifications including Huawei HCIE, Cisco CCNP, CCIP and CCDP, ITIL v3 and PMP, as well as CBP and the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), giving him a strong foundation in system reliability, service management and structured, outcome-driven training aligned with WSQ standards. As a trainer, he has delivered courses in Docker (Basic and Advanced), CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Python and cybersecurity, alongside modules in cloud networking and automation.
These skill areas map directly onto WSQ Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Training, which focuses on installing, configuring, troubleshooting and securing Kubernetes clusters. Learners work through core concepts, from kubectl and Minikube to pods and YAML manifests, then workloads and scheduling with ReplicaSets, Deployments, DaemonSets, node affinity, and taints and tolerations, followed by services and networking, security, storage and cluster administration. Truman's hands-on experience in containerisation, orchestration and DevOps tools lets him bridge theory and practice, and his large-scale networking and security background is especially useful in the networking and security topics. Learners build both competence and confidence in administering Kubernetes clusters and preparing for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification.

I believe that the trainer is very knowledgable, however the lessons being taught were quite hard to digest as there was many demos but felt like there was no "point" to the demo.
