Patrick Oh is a Singapore Certified Management Consultant who has built a service business of his own as the principal of SG Venture Consulting. Listed by TUV SUD as a certified consultant, he advises organisations on governance, risk and compliance, corporate compliance, performance management and solutions design, and he holds the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) credential from the IAPP. According to a training-provider trainer profile, he has provided Singapore PDPA consultancy for more than 13 years. He is also an implementer and auditor of ISO management systems covering quality and environmental management and ISO 14064 greenhouse gas accounting, and he contributes to sustainability reporting and community development. Earlier he spent years as an automation design engineer. In a consultancy, the brand is delivered in every proposal, meeting and follow-up, so he knows at first hand that a service reputation rests on consistent behaviour and dependable processes as much as on a logo or tagline.
That is the central idea of this course, and Patrick brings it to life with practical examples. In the first topic, understanding service branding and its business impact, he connects brand promises to performance outcomes, drawing on his performance management work. The second topic, developing an appreciation for service branding, looks at how successful service brands differentiate themselves through the experience customers actually receive. In the communication strategy and customer experience topic, he shows how staff behaviour, phone manner, website content and the careful handling of customer information all send brand signals, with his privacy background reminding learners that trust can be lost through a single data mishandling. The final topic on evaluating service branding initiatives reflects his quality management and audit experience: define the standard, gather evidence and improve continually. Learners leave able to articulate their own service brand, align their people and processes behind it, and measure whether it is helping customers to recognise, trust and recommend their business.
Richard Wan is a certified trainer, lecturer and software consultant whose career spans software and hardware development, including computer vision, communication and digital publishing. He has co-founded multiple high-tech companies, pioneered digital publishing technologies and led software development in healthcare, defence and manufacturing. He holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Computer Vision) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has taught a wide range of technical courses. His background is technical and entrepreneurial rather than in marketing or branding, and he brings a company founder's perspective to this course.
In Mastering Service Branding Strategies to Grow Your Business, Richard draws on his experience of co-founding technology companies to help business owners and managers think about how their service is experienced by customers. Learners examine how service branding affects business performance and competitive advantage, study real-world examples of service brands, and develop a service branding communication strategy that connects the brand promise with customer experience. They then learn to evaluate the impact of branding initiatives. His structured, beginner-friendly teaching style helps participants turn the course frameworks into a practical, step-by-step plan for strengthening the service brand of their own business.
Ken Yuen is an ACTA-certified adult educator whose background is in electrical and electronics engineering, STEM education and project delivery. He has worked as an instructor, Application Development Engineer, Technical Consultant and Project Manager, and as a Technical Consultant at Anson Engineering he developed IoT-based SCADA and temperature monitoring systems for industrial applications. A registered MOE instructor who has taught coding and robotics programmes in over 50 schools, he holds a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic, a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NTU and the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. His expertise lies in technology and project management rather than branding.
In Mastering Service Branding Strategies to Grow Your Business, Ken brings a project manager's structure to the work of building a service brand. Learners examine the role of service branding in an organisation's overall strategy and its effect on business performance, study real-world examples of service brands that stand out, and develop a communication strategy that links the brand to customer experience. They then learn methods for evaluating the impact of branding initiatives. His experience delivering technical projects for industrial clients and teaching learners from varied backgrounds helps participants break the strategy into clear, manageable steps and track whether it is working.
Ferris Kwok is an ACTA-certified trainer who specialises in designing and building electronic prototypes. He conducts experiential workshops for the public and in schools on electronics, coding, Arduino and microcontroller prototyping, robotics and multi-rotor aircraft (drones), linking the concepts he teaches to systems he has designed and built for commercial clients and installed in places such as Singapore Airport and Science Centre Singapore. A long-time supporter of Maker Faire, he has run a Maker booth at all eight editions of the local event organised by Science Centre Singapore since 2012, and has exhibited at Maker Faire Bay Area (USA) and Maker Faire Shenzhen (China). His expertise is in electronics and making rather than branding.
In Mastering Service Branding Strategies to Grow Your Business, Ferris draws on his practical experience of delivering commissioned systems for commercial clients and presenting his work to the public at exhibitions and workshops. Learners explore how service branding affects business performance, examine real-world service brand examples, and develop a service branding communication strategy aligned with customer experience, before learning to evaluate the impact of their initiatives. His hands-on, experiential teaching style helps participants apply each framework to their own business and leave with practical ideas they can put into action straight away.
Tan Woei Ming is an ACLP-certified trainer, data scientist and AI engineer with over 15 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data-driven innovation. He holds a Master of Intelligent Systems from the National University of Singapore and First-Class Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, and has worked as Data Science Lead and Data Scientist at Micron. He has led AI initiatives in predictive analytics, automation and process optimisation across the semiconductor and manufacturing industries. His specialism is data and AI rather than branding.
His particular strength is translating complex technologies into practical business applications that help organisations innovate through data insights. In Mastering Service Branding Strategies to Grow Your Business, Woei Ming brings this data-informed perspective to service branding. Learners examine how service branding affects business performance and competitive advantage, study real-world examples, and develop a service branding communication strategy linked to customer experience. The final topic, evaluating the impact of branding initiatives, is where his analytical background is most directly relevant, as he helps participants think about how to measure whether a branding effort is working and use the evidence to refine it.
