What's This Course About

CompTIA Project+ Training prepares you for the CompTIA Project+ certification (exam PK0-005), a vendor-neutral credential that validates the skills to manage small to medium-sized projects, with a focus on IT and technology environments. Project+ covers both traditional and agile approaches and is ideal for project coordinators, team leaders, IT professionals and business staff who manage projects as part of their role and want a recognised qualification without the experience requirements of more advanced certifications.

The course follows the official exam domains. You will start with project management concepts, including project roles and responsibilities, methodologies such as waterfall and agile, scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality and communication management, and change control. Next you will study the project life cycle phases, from discovery and initiation through planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, to closure, and the key activities and outputs of each phase.

The course continues with tools and documentation, covering project charters, work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, RACI matrices, risk registers, status reports and project management software, and closes with the basics of IT and governance, including IT infrastructure concepts, data privacy, security and compliance considerations for technology projects. Each domain is reinforced with real-world scenarios and exam-style practice questions. By the end, you will be able to manage projects more effectively and be well prepared to pass the CompTIA Project+ exam.

With professional experience in IT systems and infrastructure, Peter brings both technical knowledge and global exposure to his training. As an adult educator, Peter focuses on building learners’ foundational skills in cybersecurity, network defense, and risk management aligned to CompTIA Security+ objectives.
