AI for Finance prepares finance professionals for the next era of financial work, where AI and AI agents do far more than answer questions. Agentic AI can plan, reason and act, extracting financial data, analysing statements, building forecasts, monitoring risks and preparing reports with minimal manual effort. The course is designed for finance managers, analysts, accountants, controllers and business leaders who want to understand and apply AI to improve the speed, accuracy and insight of their finance function.

You will start with an introduction to AI and agentic AI for finance, covering generative AI, AI agents and the tools available today, and how to write effective prompts for financial tasks. Next you will use AI agents for financial data and analysis, extracting data from documents, reconciling figures, calculating ratios and explaining variances. You will then design agentic workflows for financial planning and reporting, using AI to build budgets and forecasts, run scenarios and produce management reports and commentary.

The final topic covers risk, compliance and deploying finance AI agents, including monitoring transactions for anomalies, supporting audit and regulatory requirements, and putting governance, controls and human review in place before scaling. Throughout the course you will work with realistic financial scenarios and learn how to verify AI output and protect sensitive data. By the end, you will be able to identify high-value AI opportunities in finance and apply AI agents confidently and responsibly.

Ken Yuen is an ACTA-certified adult educator specializing in STEM education, IoT systems, and programming. Dr Alvin Ang is a ACTA certified trainer. Alvin Ang did his Ph.D., Masters and Bachelors from NTU, Singapore. Previously he was a Principal Consultant (Data Science) as well as an Assistant Professor. He was also 8 years SUSS adjunct lecturer. His focus and interest is in the area of real world data science. Though an operational researcher by study, his passion for practical applications outweigh his academic background. He owns a startup externally

Maybe to save on the time on more useful stuff, i think it would be good to give installation guide for the necessary software to be downloaded/install before the course date.

I think the course material could be furthermore improve with more elaboration on the concepts
