Dr. Alfred Ang uses Python to solve real problems in the training business he leads, building AI-powered tools that generate courseware, course proposals and compliance documents. He is Managing Director, CIO, CTO and Chief Instructional Designer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, the founder of Tertiary Courses, and a full-stack AI developer and Agentic AI solution architect who builds RAG pipelines, multi-agent systems and cloud-native platforms on AWS and Kubernetes. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUS, an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU and a Graduate Diploma in Intelligent Robotics Systems from NUS-ISS, and he is a Microsoft Certified Data Scientist (DP-100), an AWS Certified AI Practitioner and an IBM certified instructor for the AI Practitioners course. His 300+ public GitHub repositories include ssg-ato-generator, a Streamlit app that produces branded SOP Word documents for SkillsFuture Singapore registered training partners with auto-extracted company details, Graphviz org charts and flowcharts; wsq-casl-cp-generator, a Streamlit web app for preparing WSQ and CASL course proposals with Claude Code content generation; and a WSQ courseware generation platform built with the Claude Agent SDK and Streamlit. His data-mining-ml-labs repository offers interactive Python and Streamlit labs for beginners in data mining and machine learning. He has also published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers. He is also a co-inventor of more than 20 US patents and holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from NUS, giving him a strong analytical foundation for algorithmic thinking.
This WSQ course is aimed at learners with foundational Python knowledge who want to apply intermediate concepts such as data structures, algorithms and Python libraries in real applications, using a prompt-driven vibe coding approach. Dr. Ang structures it around five practical outcomes. Learners first build functional Python apps by describing requirements to an AI assistant and reviewing the code it produces, then deploy those apps on Streamlit so they run in a browser and can be shared with colleagues. Next comes object-oriented Python, where he shows how to prompt for sensible classes, methods and inheritance and how to refactor code when the AI's first attempt is too clever or too long. The final topics cover database integration, connecting apps to persistent storage, and error handling with exceptions, logging and input validation, the areas where generated code most often needs a careful human review. Because his own Streamlit tools generate formal documents that must be accurate, he places real emphasis on testing and verification rather than accepting output that merely looks right. As an ACTA-certified trainer and DACE-certified curriculum developer, he reinforces each topic with guided labs and checkpoints aligned to the WSQ assessment, so learners build skills step by step and leave with working, deployed applications and a reusable workflow for future projects. Learners are encouraged to explain each generated function in their own words before moving on. In WSQ AI Vibe Coding with Python, Dr Ang combines his extensive experience teaching Python in academic, professional and corporate settings with a modern, prompt-driven development approach. Learners build functional Python apps with vibe coding, deploy them on Streamlit, structure object-oriented applications, integrate databases and handle errors robustly. His OOP background is especially useful here, helping learners guide AI assistants towards modular, reusable code rather than one-off scripts. Participants leave with the confidence to direct AI coding tools, review and improve what they generate, and apply the same workflow to data science, AI and software development projects.
Shahul H. Maricar is an ACLP-certified trainer with over a decade of experience in software systems integration, coding and data science. With a strong foundation in both hardware and software development, he has delivered training in Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and embedded systems across corporate, academic and adult learning environments. As an associate trainer with Tertiary Infotech and other institutions, he has conducted WSQ programmes in Python programming, web development and product design. His Python expertise extends into modular design and algorithm development, and he emphasises problem-solving and hands-on practice in his teaching.
In WSQ - AI Vibe Coding with Python, Shahul brings this Python and data science background to a modern, prompt-driven development approach for learners with foundational Python knowledge. Learners build functional Python apps with vibe coding and deploy them on Streamlit, then build object-oriented Python apps, where his strength in modular design and algorithm development is especially valuable. The course continues with database integration and error handling using vibe coding. Throughout, Shahul helps participants understand and test the code AI tools generate rather than simply accepting it. Learners leave able to build and deploy robust, scalable Python applications more quickly and with confidence.
