How to Claim Your Free 6-Month AI Subscription in Singapore: Eligibility, Steps and Courses
Short version: if you are a Singapore Citizen aged 18 or above, you can get six months of a premium AI tool free (ChatGPT Plus, Google AI Pro, Manus AI, Microsoft 365 Personal or Singtel AI Pass) by completing an AI course that carries the Free AI subscription label on MySkillsFuture and ends on or after 16 September 2026. After the course you receive a redemption email, and you have 60 days to choose your tool. Each person can redeem one subscription. All nine of our free AI subscription courses are listed below.
What you get
The SkillsFuture AI Subscription is run by the Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) as part of the National AI Impact Programme. You choose one of five premium subscriptions, free for six months:

Who is eligible
You qualify if you meet all four conditions:
- Citizenship: you are a Singapore Citizen.
- Age: you are 18 years old or above.
- Course: you enrol in and complete an eligible AI course that carries the Free AI subscription label on MySkillsFuture, with a course end date on or after 16 September 2026.
- Limit: one free six-month subscription per person, however many eligible courses you finish.
Singapore Permanent Residents and other learners can still take these courses and use any course-fee funding they qualify for. They are not eligible for the free subscription.
How to claim, step by step
- Take the AI Ready Quiz (optional but useful). On the MySkillsFuture portal, the quiz tells you whether you are AI Aware, AI Literate or AI Fluent and suggests suitable courses.
- Enrol in an eligible course. Choose a course that displays the Free AI subscription label on MySkillsFuture. Every course in the list below carries it.
- Complete the course. Attend and successfully finish all course requirements.
- Watch for the redemption email. After the course you receive a notification email with the official subscription request form. Check your spam folder if it has not arrived.
- Choose your AI tool within 60 days. Submit the request form, selecting ChatGPT Plus, Google AI Pro, Manus AI, Microsoft 365 Personal or Singtel AI Pass, within 60 days of receiving the email.
- Activate your subscription. Follow the activation instructions in the confirmation email. You cannot change your tool once the form is submitted.
The subscription follows the course; it is not given when you enrol. It also comes from SWDA, not from the training provider, so watch for the email rather than waiting for us to send activation details.
Our free AI subscription courses
All nine WSQ courses below carry the Free AI subscription label on MySkillsFuture. They are also SkillsFuture-funded, so the subscription comes on top of the course-fee subsidy. Fees shown are after 50% WSQ funding, including GST; Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above receive 70% funding and pay less. SkillsFuture Credit can be used for the balance.

How to pick your course
Choose the course for the skill you need. The subscription is a bonus that helps you keep practising afterwards. A simple way to decide:
- You want to save hours on repetitive work: start with Agentic AI Automation with n8n.
- You produce marketing or social content: start with Generative AI for Content Creation, then move to the multi-agent or video courses.
- You lead a team or business unit: start with Business Innovation with Agentic AI and AI Agents.
- You have never coded: start with Python Fundamentals, then take AI Vibe Coding with Python.
Taking a second eligible course is a good way to build on the first, but it does not earn a second subscription. The limit is one per person, so redeem it after your first eligible course.
Which AI tool should you choose?
You cannot change your choice later, so match the tool to the work you will do after the course:
- Automation and coding courses: ChatGPT Plus is a strong partner for planning workflows, writing prompts and debugging code. Note that consumer subscriptions do not normally cover the API calls an automated workflow makes; those are billed separately.
- Content and video courses: Google AI Pro if you work in Google apps and want image generation; Singtel AI Pass if you want to try video and audio tools such as Hailuo AI and MiniMax Audio first.
- Office-heavy roles: Microsoft 365 Personal puts Copilot inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Research and multi-step tasks: Manus AI works as a general agent for research, slides and data analysis.
Mistakes that cost people the subscription
- Taking a course that ended before 16 September 2026. The end date is what counts.
- Missing the 60-day window. The clock starts from the notification email, not the course date. Check your spam folder after class.
- Not completing the course. You must attend and finish all course requirements.
- Picking the best-known brand instead of the tool you will use. The choice is final.
Frequently asked questions
Is the free AI subscription really free?
Yes. The six-month subscription costs you nothing. You pay only the course fee, which is itself reduced by SkillsFuture funding and can be offset with SkillsFuture Credit.
When do I receive the subscription?
After you complete the course. SWDA sends a redemption email with the request form, you submit your choice within 60 days, and activation instructions follow by email.
Can I get more than one subscription if I take several courses?
No. Each eligible Singapore Citizen can redeem one subscription in total, regardless of how many eligible courses they complete.
I am a Singapore PR. Can I claim it?
No. The subscription is only for Singapore Citizens aged 18 and above. PRs can still take the courses with WSQ funding.
Can I change my AI tool after submitting the form?
No. Your selection is final once the request form is submitted, so choose the tool that fits your daily work.
How do I know a course is eligible?
Look for the Free AI subscription label on the course's MySkillsFuture listing. All nine courses on our free AI subscription courses page carry it.
