What's This Course About

This WSQ AI Agents for Business course equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills to design, build, and deploy AI agents that automate business processes, improve productivity, and support intelligent decision-making. Participants will learn how AI agents combine large language models (LLMs), reasoning, planning, memory, and tool integration to perform business tasks autonomously while collaborating effectively with human users.

The course introduces the fundamentals of agentic AI, prompt engineering, context engineering, and AI-powered workflow automation. Learners will gain hands-on experience in building AI agents that can retrieve information, interact with enterprise applications through APIs, execute business workflows, and automate repetitive tasks across different business functions.

Participants will also explore Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), memory management, multi-agent collaboration, and human-in-the-loop workflows to develop reliable, context-aware, and scalable AI solutions. Practical exercises demonstrate how AI agents can be applied to customer service, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, operations, and knowledge management.

The course further covers responsible AI practices, governance, security, guardrails, and deployment considerations to ensure AI agents operate safely and effectively in enterprise environments. By the end of the course, learners will be able to design, develop, and deploy business AI agents that integrate with existing systems, automate end-to-end processes, and create an AI-powered digital workforce capable of increasing organisational efficiency, innovation, and business value.

Dr. Alfred Ang designs and deploys AI agents for real business processes, and leads agentic AI adoption that helps organisations move from experimentation to operational AI. He is a full-stack AI developer and Agentic AI solution architect, the founder of Tertiary Courses, and Managing Director, CIO, CTO and Chief Instructional Designer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, where he leads multidisciplinary teams in both software delivery and workforce upskilling. His agent work spans n8n, Langflow, Flowise, the OpenAI Agents SDK, the Google Gemini Agent SDK, the Claude Agent SDK, Microsoft AutoGen and CrewAI, and focuses on automating customer service, internal workflows, analytics and decision support using LLMs, RAG pipelines and multi-agent systems. His public GitHub portfolio offers concrete business examples. n8n-hrportal is a self-service HR portal with leave applications, human-in-the-loop manager approval, a live leave dashboard and an HR chatbot protected by input and output guardrails. n8n-inventorycontrol is an inventory audit and forecasting agent that reads stock levels, flags items below reorder thresholds, computes replenishment and reports through Google Sheets and Gmail. kacificerpr is an ERP prototype with human-in-the-loop approvals, matched invoices, agents and scheduled tasks, and AI-LMS-TMS is a training management system with SSG integration and AI agent automation. He is a Microsoft Certified AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) and Data Scientist (DP-100), an AWS Certified AI Practitioner and Solutions Architect, and holds a Certificate in AI Ethics and Governance (Senior Professional) from NTU and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUS.

In this WSQ AI Agents for Business course, Dr. Ang gives learners a practical understanding of how agents combine large language models with reasoning, planning, memory and tools, and how to put them to work safely. The first topic covers the foundations of AI agents for business, including how agents differ from chatbots, prompt engineering, context engineering and how to identify processes worth automating. In the second topic learners build and integrate business AI agents that retrieve information, work with documents and connect to enterprise applications, with examples drawn from HR, inventory and procurement systems he has built himself. The third topic, intelligent business automation with AI agents, chains agents into multi-step workflows with triggers, decisions and human approval points, so that routine work flows through automatically while exceptions reach the right person. The final topic, deploying, governing and optimising AI agents, reflects his architect's view of production systems: access control, guardrails, logging, cost and performance monitoring, and the governance questions his AI ethics certification trains him to ask, such as accountability for an agent's decisions. His teaching is hands-on, and learners leave having built working agents for business scenarios they recognise, along with a clear picture of how to evaluate whether an agent is ready for real use. He keeps the technical level accessible for business professionals while giving more technical learners room to go further. As an ACTA-certified trainer and DACE-certified curriculum developer, he aligns the activities with the WSQ assessment. To see the business agents he has built, view his GitHub portfolio at https://github.com/alfredang and connect with him on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/angchewhoe/

Yeo Hwee Theng is a data science leader and AI strategist with extensive experience leading enterprise AI adoption across healthcare, finance and government. As Data & Analytics Product Lead at Amplify Health, she leads large-scale data transformation and machine learning projects, and she has designed and implemented large-scale machine learning and analytics systems. Her previous roles include AI & Data Architect at Huawei International and Senior Data Scientist at DataRobot. She holds a Master of Technology in Enterprise Business Analytics from the National University of Singapore, where she specialised in data architecture and applied AI, and an Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP).

In AI Agents for Business, she connects agentic AI to the practical work of running an organisation. Learners start with the foundations of AI agents, learning how large language models, reasoning, planning, memory and tool integration combine to perform business tasks. They then build and integrate business agents, apply them to intelligent automation of everyday processes, and finish with deploying, governing and optimising agents in production. Her experience integrating AI into enterprise settings keeps the focus on reliability, governance and measurable value, so participants leave able to design agents that automate routine work, improve productivity and support better decisions while collaborating effectively with the people who use them.

Tan Woei Ming is a data scientist and AI engineer with over 15 years of experience in machine learning, deep learning and AI-driven automation. He has led industrial AI projects in the semiconductor and manufacturing sectors, deploying predictive analytics and computer vision systems for process optimisation, and is deeply experienced in developing and fine-tuning neural networks using TensorFlow, PyTorch and Hugging Face libraries. He holds a Master's in Intelligent Systems from the National University of Singapore and a First-Class Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU, and focuses on translating complex AI technologies into practical business applications.

In WSQ - AI Agents for Business, Woei Ming helps learners turn AI agents into dependable business tools. Participants build a foundation in how agents work, then build and integrate business AI agents, apply them to intelligent business automation, and finally deploy, govern and optimise them. His hands-on experience with models in production shapes his emphasis on contextual accuracy, testing and governance rather than demonstrations alone. By combining strong technical foundations with practical exercises, he equips participants to identify suitable use cases, build agents that fit their workflows and manage them responsibly as they scale across the organisation.

Teh Siew Yee is a data analytics and digital transformation leader with more than two decades of experience across the banking, aviation and technology sectors. With a Master of IT in Business (Artificial Intelligence) from Singapore Management University and leadership roles at Standard Chartered, TikTok and HP, Siew Yee has developed expertise in AI governance, data management and analytics strategy. As an ACLP-certified trainer, Siew Yee is known for clear, industry-relevant instruction that bridges business goals with technical execution.

In AI Agents for Business, Siew Yee uses that combination of business and technical experience to show how AI agents can automate processes, improve productivity and support better decisions. Learners cover the foundations of AI agents for business, including how they combine large language models with tools and data, then build business AI agents and integrate them with existing systems. They go on to design intelligent business automation with AI agents and finish by deploying, governing and optimising agents in production. Drawing on a background in AI governance and responsible AI, Siew Yee helps participants put appropriate controls in place so their agents deliver value safely and reliably.

Truman Ng is an AI infrastructure and cloud automation specialist with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise networking, cybersecurity and intelligent systems integration. His expertise lies in building scalable AI pipelines and integrating model fine-tuning within secure cloud-based environments, and he has taught learners how to deploy fine-tuned large language models and securely manage the vector databases used in Retrieval-Augmented Generation. He has trained global corporate teams in DevOps, AI deployment and cloud orchestration, and holds PMP and Huawei HCIE certifications alongside his ACTA trainer certification.

In WSQ AI Agents for Business, Truman helps learners design, build and deploy AI agents that automate business processes and support better decisions. Participants learn how agents combine large language models with reasoning, planning, memory and tool integration, then build and integrate business agents and apply them to the intelligent automation of everyday workflows. The course closes with deploying, governing and optimising agents in production. His background in AI pipelines, retrieval and secure cloud deployment gives learners a practical understanding of what makes agents reliable, so they leave ready to apply agents that improve productivity while working effectively alongside people.
