Workplace Evaluation and Innovation for AI Adoption shows leaders and managers how to make AI adoption succeed by looking closely at the work first. Many organisations buy AI tools and run pilots, only to find months later that little has changed; lasting gains come from evaluating how work is really done, identifying genuine opportunities and building a practical adoption roadmap. The course is designed for managers, team leads, HR and transformation professionals, and business owners responsible for introducing AI in their organisation.

You will start by understanding AI adoption in the workplace, exploring what generative AI and AI agents can realistically do today, why AI initiatives stall and the conditions that make adoption succeed. Next you will evaluate your workplace, mapping processes, tasks, pain points, data and skills, and assessing readiness across people, process, technology and culture. You will then identify innovation opportunities, prioritising use cases by value, feasibility and risk, and designing small experiments to test them.

The final topic covers building the adoption roadmap, including setting goals and measures, sequencing initiatives, planning training and change management, putting governance and responsible AI guardrails in place, and engaging employees so they become champions rather than sceptics. Practical templates and exercises let you apply each step to your own organisation. By the end, you will have a clear, evidence-based plan to adopt AI in your workplace and turn it into measurable improvements.

Dr. Mak Wai Keong has a Doctor of Education (EdD.) and has completed his Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Management of Technology in 2000 at the National University of Singapore. In 1994, he obtained his Bachelor of Science (Merit) in Chemistry and Mathematics from the National University of Singapore. Upon graduation with a BSc degree, he started his career in the area of training and multimedia development, and set up a company in 1997 to focus on multimedia training development for the telecommunications and semi-conductor industries. Being passionate in research and training, and educating the youth, he then moved to the academic and research domains as a lecturer at Temasek and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. His research capacity started at SIM University as a Research Associate, and National Institute of Education (Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practices (CRPP). He was able to apply his experience in Learning Technology areas at the Singapore Polytechnic and Yale-NUS College where he was the Associate Director for Educational Resources & Technology. Dr. Mak last appointment was at the Institute for Adult Learning, Innovation Lab (iN.LAB) as the Senior Learning Innovator before starting out on his own. He curated 4 major programs for iN.LAB, namely InnovByte, InnovLogue, InnovJam and InnovPlus. He is author and co-author of numerous international journal and conference papers. Currently, he is the Group CEO of Edtrix Group – comprises Edtrix Solutions Pte. Ltd., Edtrix Innovation Pte. Ltd., Edtrix Enterprise Pte. Lte. and SmartzWerkz Pte. Ltd. His work involves research and development in Learner (and Gamer) Profiling (a psychometric tool that purports one’s learning preference) through Block Chain, Artificial Intelligence (Data, Textual, Auditory and Video [DTAV] Analytics), Supervised, Unsupervised and Reinforcement Learning. He is also into Conscious and Unconscious Learning through Games. He is currently working on various AI projects with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, GSK Singapore, as well as consultancy work with SIM GE and ITE College East. He has also extended his skills and knowledge in this area through various consultancy works. Edtrix Solutions is a reseller and distributor of iSpringSolutions software in Singapore
