What's This Course About

Design of Experiment (DOE) Masterclass equips you with the essential skills to plan, run, analyse and optimise experiments that improve process and product performance. Rather than changing one factor at a time, DOE lets you study several factors together, uncover interactions and find the best settings with far fewer runs, saving time and cost. The masterclass is designed for engineers, scientists, quality and process improvement professionals, and Six Sigma practitioners in manufacturing, R&D and service environments.

You will start with the fundamentals of design of experiments, including key terminology, factors, levels and responses, randomisation, replication and blocking, and how to plan an experiment that answers the right question. Next you will learn factorial DOE, designing and analysing full factorial experiments, interpreting main effects and interaction plots and using analysis of variance to identify significant factors. You will then cover fractional factorial DOE, reducing the number of runs while understanding confounding and resolution.

The final topic focuses on screening, modelling and optimising DOE, including screening designs to find the vital few factors, regression models, response surface methods and finding optimal process settings. Throughout the masterclass you will use statistical software and practical case studies to design and analyse real experiments. By the end, you will be able to apply DOE confidently to solve problems, optimise processes and make data-driven improvements.
