Dr. Alfred Ang uses agentic coding tools to ship real software, which is exactly the perspective this masterclass is built on. A full-stack AI developer and Agentic AI solution architect, he is Managing Director, CIO and CTO of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd and the founder of Tertiary Courses. He works with a wide range of agent frameworks, including the Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google Gemini Agent SDK, Microsoft AutoGen, CrewAI and n8n, and builds cloud-native systems across AWS, Kubernetes and DevOps pipelines. His credentials include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUS, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) and CompTIA Security+. His GitHub profile, with 300+ public repositories, shows how he works: he publishes a collection of Claude Code skills that auto-detect and start any app, generate READMEs, push to Docker Hub, scan for secrets and test mobile responsiveness; a second skill set for producing WSQ courseware in a consistent house style; and a WSQ and CASL course proposal generator powered by Claude Code. In this masterclass, Dr. Ang takes developers, engineers, data professionals and technical leads from installation to confident daily use of Claude Code. Learners start by setting it up in the terminal and IDE and learning how it navigates a codebase, edits files and runs commands and tests from plain-English instructions. He then covers agentic development workflows: planning a change, breaking work into steps, reviewing diffs and keeping the human firmly in control. A dedicated session on extending Claude Code shows how hooks, skills and MCP servers turn it into a tool tailored to a team's own conventions, drawing directly on the skills he has written and maintains. The course closes with real-world projects in which participants build and refactor working applications end to end. His style is demonstration-first and candid: he shows actual sessions, including the mistakes an agent makes and how to correct them, and stresses security, testing and code review as non-negotiable habits when an AI is writing code. Participants leave with a practical workflow they can apply to their own repositories the next day. He also covers practical habits that make agentic coding sustainable in a team setting, such as keeping a project memory file that records conventions and past lessons, writing clear task descriptions, running linters and tests before accepting changes, and committing small, reviewable diffs. A graduate in Computer Studies and Multimedia Development, he has worked as a Web Developer at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and as an Adjunct Lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic, and is currently an External Consultant & Training Associate at Boston Consulting Group. He is certified by Adobe as an Adobe Certified Expert, Instructor and Web Specialist, and is an ACTA certified trainer, MOE Registered Instructor and ACLP Certified Trainer / Assessor.
