What's This Course About

Build algorithmic trading strategies with AI Vibe Coding for Algorithmic Trading. This hands-on 2-day course teaches you how to use AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude to write Python code for quantitative trading. Instead of wrestling with libraries and APIs, you will vibe code — describing the strategy and analysis you want in plain language and letting AI generate, explain, refactor and debug your trading code while you stay in control of the logic and risk.

Through practical projects, participants will set up a Python trading environment, fetch and analyse market data, build and backtest trading strategies, evaluate performance, and connect to a broker API — all with an AI pair programmer at their side. You will also learn to review, test and validate AI-generated code so your strategies are sound and reproducible. By the end of the course, you will be able to design, test and run algorithmic trading strategies faster and more confidently with an effective AI vibe-coding workflow.

Ken Yuen is an ACTA-certified adult educator specializing in STEM education, IoT systems, and programming. With a background in electrical and electronics engineering from NTU, he has conducted WSQ and SkillsFuture courses in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Jetson Nano, and Python. He is also a registered MOE instructor, having taught coding and robotics programs in over 50 schools, equipping students and professionals alike with practical IoT and programming skills. In his IoT courses, Ken focuses on hands-on experimentation with microcontrollers, sensors, and automation systems. His prior experience as a Technical Consultant at Anson Engineering saw him develop IoT-based SCADA and temperature monitoring systems for industrial applications, giving him strong industry insight. By blending educational expertise with technical project experience, Ken ensures learners develop the confidence to build, test, and apply IoT solutions in real-world contexts.
Terence Ee is an experienced IT leader and consultant with more than 25 years of expertise in technology management, information systems, and digital transformation. He has served as Chief Information Officer at the Supreme Court of Singapore and Vice President of Information Systems at Senoko Energy, where he led major IT modernization projects. Since 2017, he has worked as an independent consultant and ACLP-certified trainer, specializing in guiding SMEs and enterprises in adopting future-ready digital platforms. As a WSQ-accredited trainer, Terence delivers programs in digital collaboration, IT governance, and productivity tools. His facilitation emphasizes case studies, simulations, and hands-on practice, enabling learners to apply modern IT systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to improve collaboration and business efficiency. With his leadership background and deep IT expertise, Terence prepares learners to thrive in digitally transforming environments.

Dr Alvin Ang is a ACTA certified trainer. Alvin Ang did his Ph.D., Masters and Bachelors from NTU, Singapore. Previously he was a Principal Consultant (Data Science) as well as an Assistant Professor. He was also 8 years SUSS adjunct lecturer. His focus and interest is in the area of real world data science. Though an operational researcher by study, his passion for practical applications outweigh his academic background. He owns a startup externally

Shahul H. Maricar is a ACTA certified trainer. Shahul H. Maricar has been a content developer and  webmaster, building educational websites and applications with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. He then served as an IT analyst, writing programs for automating custom workflows as well as data extraction and analysis in the healthcare field.  
He is currently a freelance educator and is actively involved with development projects in game programming,  computer-aided design and computer graphics.

Noel Lou is a ACTA certified trainer. Experienced Mentor with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. Skilled in IOS, Unity3D, Python, Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, and Microsoft Word. Strong professional with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Marine offshore engineering from Newcastle University.
