What's This Course About

AI for Network Security equips participants with practical skills to apply artificial intelligence to network monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. Learners will explore how AI can analyze network traffic, system logs, device activity, and security alerts to identify suspicious behaviour, emerging threats, and potential control gaps.

Through hands-on activities, participants will use AI-assisted workflows to assess network risks, detect anomalies, analyze vulnerabilities, and prioritize security incidents. The course covers network segmentation, access control, authentication, encryption, endpoint protection, firewall policies, intrusion detection, and defence-in-depth strategies across different operating environments.

Participants will also learn to use AI to summarize threat intelligence, investigate security incidents, recommend remediation measures, automate repetitive monitoring tasks, and produce security reports. Emphasis is placed on validating AI-generated findings, reducing false positives, protecting confidential information, and maintaining human oversight. By the end of the course, learners will be able to use AI responsibly to strengthen network defences, accelerate threat analysis, and improve organizational cyber resilience.

In his free time, he likes to tinker with his RigidBot 3D printer, building simple household objects with Adobe 123D Design and OpenSCAD.
