What's This Course About

AI for Network Security equips you with practical skills to apply artificial intelligence to protecting an organisation's network. Attackers are already using automation and AI, and defenders face ever-growing volumes of alerts, logs and vulnerabilities; AI helps security teams detect threats earlier, prioritise risks and respond faster. The course is designed for network and system administrators, security analysts, IT managers and engineers who want to strengthen network defence with AI-assisted tools and techniques.

You will start with AI-assisted network threat and vulnerability analysis, using AI to analyse traffic patterns and logs, detect anomalies and suspicious behaviour, and interpret vulnerability scan results. Next you will cover AI-powered network risk assessment and management, prioritising vulnerabilities by likelihood and impact, mapping threats to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, and recommending mitigations. You will then design and implement AI-enhanced network security, including segmentation, firewall and access policies, intrusion detection and automated monitoring workflows.

The final topic covers AI-assisted security incident documentation and response, using AI to triage alerts, summarise incidents, draft response playbooks and prepare clear reports for management. Throughout the course you will also learn the limitations and risks of AI in security, how to validate AI findings and how to protect sensitive data. Hands-on labs use realistic network scenarios. By the end, you will be able to apply AI confidently to monitor, assess and secure network environments.

Angel Koh has over 15 years experience with the maritime and defence industry building information systems for full scale development programs; working with a myriad of programming and computing languages and tools, ranging from programming languages like C# and Java to computing languages like Octave and ArcGis. His specialization is in the field of data fusion and mapping. He is always passionate to adopt new technologies and skills to add to his repertoire of computer knowledge. In his free time, he likes to tinker with his RigidBot 3D printer, building simple household objects with Adobe 123D Design and OpenSCAD.

A slight bit longer course so that slower learners like myself can spend more time brushing up

Perhaps expand the duration to perhaps an extra day to cover more ground and questions others might have, so that even those with no background knowledge can catch up and understand more

Probably needs a heads up to have some minor/basics and background knowledge of programming (for those who have totally none) but overall helped me a lot ! (some of us had some understanding of the language beforehand). The instructor was really patient and explained questions well ! for others perhaps 2 days was a bit too rushed.
