- Check your company's SFEC eligibility and balance on EnterpriseSG.
- Register your Singapore Citizen or PR employee for a class that ends by 30 November 2026, as company-sponsored, and pay the course fee after funding.
- Your employee attends and completes the course. We submit the attendance and assessment results to SWDA.
- No separate claim is needed. SFEC is calculated automatically once the course fee grant is approved and is paid quarterly to your company's IRAS GIRO or PayNow Corporate account.
Any unused balance of the current SFEC expires on 30 November 2026.
Redesigned SFEC from 1 December 2026
Companies with at least 3 resident employees receive a fresh $10,000 in an online SFEC wallet that offsets out-of-pocket fees upfront at enrolment, instead of reimbursing them afterwards. SWDA has not yet published the support rates and claim steps; see OurWorkforce or our SFEC guide.
How to Apply PSEA

- Check that this course shows the PSEA tag on its MySkillsFuture page.
- Check your PSEA balance on MOE's Student Finance System with Singpass.
- Download and complete the PSEA withdrawal form, then submit it to us.
- We submit the withdrawal request to MOE. You (and your sibling, if you are using their account) authorise it in the Student Finance System. Nothing is withdrawn without this authorisation.
- MOE pays us directly. If you have already paid, we refund the amount covered by PSEA.
More details: MOE PSEA overview.
Appeal Process
If you disagree with an assessment decision, you have the right to appeal.
- When the assessor gives you feedback, say whether you agree with the outcome. If you agree, you and the assessor sign the Assessment Summary Record; if you disagree, do not sign it.
- Discuss the decision with the assessor or the assessment manager first.
- If you are still not satisfied, tell the assessor you intend to appeal. The assessor records this in the feedback section of the Assessment Summary Record and informs the assessment manager.
- Lodge your appeal within 7 days, giving your reasons, using the Candidate Appeal Form. The assessor can help you write and lodge it.
- An Assessment Appeal Panel reviews the information from you and the assessor and makes a decision. A record of the appeal and its outcome is kept.
- You will be told the outcome within 2 weeks of lodging the appeal. The panel's decision is final.

Dr. Alfred Ang builds systems that handle sensitive data every day, which gives him a practical view of how AI can strengthen IT security and data protection. He is a full-stack AI developer and Agentic AI solution architect whose experience spans system architecture, security, observability and cloud-native platforms on AWS and Kubernetes, and he is the founder of Tertiary Courses and Managing Director, CIO, CTO and Chief Instructional Designer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd. He is CompTIA Security+ certified, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AI Practitioner and Cloud Practitioner, a Microsoft Certified AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) and Data Scientist (DP-100), and holds a Certificate in AI Ethics and Governance (Senior Professional) from NTU together with a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUS. His GitHub portfolio shows data protection decisions in real products: tertiary-hrms manages payroll, leave and expense records with role-based access; ssg-api-portal connects to SkillsFuture Singapore APIs using mTLS and OAuth authentication; scannerapp performs OCR entirely on the device with no tracking; and n8n-inventorycontrol runs its AI audit on a local LLM through Ollama, keeping business data in-house. He also maintains AI-LMS-TMS, a learning and training management system that integrates with government APIs and holds learner records. These projects inform how he weighs convenience against confidentiality whenever AI touches personal or sensitive organisational information. As an ACTA-certified trainer and DACE-certified curriculum developer, he translates complex security concepts into clear, practical steps.
WSQ - AI for IT Security equips IT, security and compliance professionals to use AI to identify, assess and respond to threats while protecting the data at the heart of the organisation. The first topic applies AI to data privacy policies and lifecycle management, drafting and reviewing policies and mapping how data is collected, stored, retained and disposed of. The second covers AI for sensitive data discovery, classification and protection, using AI to find and label personal and confidential information across systems. In the third topic learners use AI-powered tools for data access, transfer and security governance, including access control, data loss prevention and the analysis of security logs for unusual patterns. The final topic addresses AI-assisted compliance monitoring and data breach investigation, from summarising threat intelligence to reconstructing an incident and recommending remediation. Dr. Ang shows both sides of the technology: how AI speeds up detection and analysis, and how careless AI use can itself leak data, for example through prompts pasted into public chatbots. He stresses verification, least privilege and clear audit trails, drawing on the controls he applies in his own systems and on his governance training. Learners work hands-on with realistic logs, policies and incident scenarios, leaving with workflows they can apply in their own security operations. He also explains how to evaluate AI security tools critically, checking false positives and the quality of their recommendations. Quah Chee Yong is an ACLP-certified trainer and data science professional with extensive experience in Python, natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning. He has led AI training programmes for SAP, Temasek Polytechnic and IMDA under the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways initiative, and has applied NLP tools such as NLTK, spaCy and Gensim to text classification, sentiment analysis and topic modelling. He is also an ICT professional with experience in technical operations, IT management and enterprise compliance solutions. With training in data science, machine learning and Microsoft platforms, he integrates both technical and governance perspectives into his facilitation.
In WSQ AI for IT Security, he places particular emphasis on AI-assisted risk assessment and security governance, showing learners how to evaluate potential risks and safeguard organisational data. Participants use AI to support data privacy policies and lifecycle management, to discover, classify and protect sensitive data, and to govern data access and transfer. They also apply AI to compliance monitoring and data breach investigation. His text classification experience helps make the sensitive-data topics concrete, while his enterprise compliance background keeps sessions grounded in practical use cases, so the skills transfer readily into real business contexts.
Sanjiv Venkatram is a consultant and ACTA-certified trainer specialising in business intelligence, data analytics and Microsoft enterprise platforms. His expertise lies in helping organisations adopt Microsoft platforms for data governance and information protection, and across manufacturing, finance and education he has delivered projects including Power BI dashboards, KPI frameworks and compliance reporting solutions. He is CEO of Prudentia Consulting, an organisation committed to promoting the active use of the Microsoft platform, and has previously worked at Microsoft across the US and APAC, Cognizant, Yazaki North America and Oracle.
In this WSQ course, Sanjiv focuses on applying AI to sensitive data discovery, classification and data loss prevention. Learners begin with AI-assisted data privacy policies and lifecycle management, then use AI to discover, classify and protect sensitive data, and apply AI-powered controls to data access, transfer and security governance. The final topic covers AI-assisted compliance monitoring and data breach investigation. His experience of building compliance reporting and KPI frameworks helps learners connect security controls to measurable governance outcomes. His teaching emphasises hands-on practice and workplace application, preparing participants to use AI to protect organisational data and manage compliance requirements effectively.
Kishan Raaj is an ACTA-certified ICT consultant with expertise in data science, enterprise IT and cloud solutions. He has delivered end-to-end IT projects involving security, compliance and automation, working with tools such as Python, SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Azure. This combination of data science skills and hands-on project delivery in security and compliance gives him a practical view of how AI can support the protection of organisational data. His sessions are interactive and technically rigorous, and he focuses on skills that learners can apply directly in their own organisational environments.
In WSQ - AI for IT Security, Kishan guides learners in using AI to analyse security logs, investigate potential incidents and produce clear security reports. The course moves through AI-assisted data privacy policies and lifecycle management, AI for sensitive data discovery, classification and protection, and AI-powered data access, transfer and security governance. It concludes with AI-assisted compliance monitoring and data breach investigation, where his experience with security and compliance projects helps learners connect the tools to real organisational requirements. Participants leave able to use AI to identify and assess threats, support security monitoring and respond to incidents more effectively across their IT environment.
Alec Tan is an ACTA-certified trainer with strong experience in IT consulting, systems integration and pre-sales engineering. He has worked with organisations across sectors to design and implement secure Microsoft-based solutions aligned with their business needs, giving him a practical understanding of how security controls, data governance and access management operate in real IT environments. In his security training, Alec focuses on using AI to monitor security activity, manage insider risk and implement data governance and access-control practices, and his sessions are applied and scenario-driven.
In AI for IT Security, Alec brings this solutions background to the data protection side of cybersecurity. Learners use AI to support data privacy policies and lifecycle management, discover and classify sensitive information, and strengthen controls over data access, transfer and security governance. The course then moves into AI-assisted compliance monitoring and data breach investigation, where participants analyse security logs, identify unusual patterns and generate recommended remediation actions. Through realistic scenarios, participants build confidence in both the theory and the practice of applying AI tools to identify, assess and respond to threats, and leave with workflows they can adapt to their own organisation's IT environment.
