What's This Course About

Statistics Fundamentals Masterclass gives you a clear, practical understanding of the statistical concepts and techniques used to make sense of data and support sound decisions. Statistics underpins data analysis, research, quality improvement, finance and marketing, yet many professionals find it intimidating. This masterclass explains each concept step by step with real examples and is designed for analysts, researchers, managers, students and anyone who needs to interpret data or reports with confidence.

You will start with an introduction to statistics, covering types of data, measures of central tendency and spread, distributions and how to summarise and visualise data. Next you will learn about sampling, including sampling methods, sampling error, the central limit theorem and confidence intervals. You will then move into hypothesis testing, understanding null and alternative hypotheses, p-values, significance levels and errors, and applying t-tests to compare groups, followed by the chi-square test for categorical data and relationships between variables.

The later topics cover ANOVA (analysis of variance) for comparing more than two groups, regression for modelling and predicting relationships, and correlation analysis for measuring the strength of associations. Every topic includes hands-on exercises using Excel or statistical software and practical interpretation of results. By the end of the masterclass, you will be able to choose and apply the right statistical method, interpret results correctly and communicate findings clearly to support better decisions.
