Raspberry Pi Computer Vision Training

This course will explore the vast opportunities of computer vision with the Raspberry Pi and Python. The course will show you how to develop webcam and Raspberry Pi based applications. Topics include

  • Set up your Raspberry Pi and master computer vision with OpenCV
  • Work with images, videos, webcams, the Pi camera, and create amazing timelapse videos
  • Blend images and create artistic effects such as image transitioning
  • Transform images, change colorspaces, and track objects based on colors
  • Use various high- and low-pass filters to remove noise from the image
  • Find contours and segments in images and detect edges, lines, and circles

He has over 20 years experience in electronics/ IT industry with several MNCs including Compaq, Adaptec, Agilent, etc., with specialization in Automation System Design (drilling/ milling machine, 3D machine automation, machine data collection, test & measurement electronics design), Motion control design & applications. With wide technical skill set in development language/ tools .Net, Java, PowerBuilder to C++/ C/C#, he has also strong knowledge in development of firmware for microcontroller such as PIC, ARM and others.

Chee Hong graduated with a B.Eng degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering and holds a Master Degree of Technology from NUS.

Computer Vision TrainerDr.Sai Manoj Prakhya currently is Principal Engineer for Autonomous Vehicle Technology company. He worked as research scientist in A*Star. He got his PhD in 3D Perception for Mobile Robotics from NUS in 2017. His expertise are Self-Driving Cars, 3D Mapping and Localization, Sensor Fusion and Object Tracking, Mobile Robotics, 3D Perception, PCL (Point Cloud Library), ROS (Robot Operating System), Deep Learning, PIC Microcontroller, C, C++, Python, MATLAB.

Raspberry Pi Computer Vision TrainerKen Yuen has more than 10 years of experience working as an instructor, Application Development Engineer, Technical Consultant and Project Manager. He is an MOE-Registered Instructor teaching STEM programs for past 3 years such as Arduino, Micro:bits and robotics to schools and libraries based on the smart nation initiative roadmap.

Robotics Python TrainerMing Liang is an up-and-coming developer with expertise ranging from deep learning to hardware like the raspberry pi. He specialises mostly in the area of data science and machine learning and has won several hackathons and is ranked highly in international competitions. Furthermore, he has also done projects as part of the maker community in Singapore and build his own 3D printer as well

Training room little bit hot and stuffy, if possible can add-in portable cooler

Training time if possible can be start from 9am during weekday, so that more time with trainer discussion so that trainer meet the participant expectation (Posted on 8/16/2018)
