What's This Course About

Quantum Computing Masterclass equips you with the knowledge to understand, design and implement quantum computing applications, from the underlying physics to algorithms, protocols and security. Quantum computing promises breakthroughs in optimisation, materials science, finance, cryptography and machine learning, and organisations are already preparing for its impact. The masterclass is designed for engineers, developers, IT professionals, researchers and technical leaders who want a deeper, hands-on understanding of the field.

You will start with quantum physics fundamentals, including the mathematics of linear algebra and complex numbers, quantum states, superposition, measurement and entanglement. Next you will be introduced to quantum computing systems, exploring qubit technologies, quantum hardware architectures and the current noisy intermediate-scale era. You will then study quantum gates and circuits, building and simulating single- and multi-qubit circuits with Qiskit, followed by quantum protocols such as superdense coding and quantum teleportation.

The course continues with quantum algorithms, including Deutsch-Jozsa, Grover's search, the quantum Fourier transform and Shor's algorithm, and variational approaches for near-term devices, then covers quantum cryptography and quantum safety, including quantum key distribution and post-quantum cryptography. Practical coding exercises on simulators and cloud quantum hardware reinforce each topic. By the end of the masterclass, you will be able to design and run quantum circuits and evaluate real-world quantum computing applications.
