Dr. Smita Singh is an environmental and quality management consultant with more than 15 years of expertise in sustainability, compliance and process optimisation. She holds a PhD and has advised organisations on integrating ISO 9001 standards into broader sustainability and operational frameworks. Her background includes extensive work in internal auditing, quality assurance and environmental monitoring for both public and private sector projects, making her well versed in applying ISO standards for organisational improvement. As an ISO standards auditing specialist across ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 14064, she understands how management system standards share common principles of planning, control, evaluation and continual improvement, and how they can work together within one organisation. She is an ACLP-certified corporate trainer, lecturer and assessor whose sessions blend analytical thinking with practical, process-based management. Her consultancy work has supported organisations in linking quality planning, stakeholder engagement and performance evaluation, and she is known for explaining management system requirements in plain language so that teams from any function can see how the standard applies to their daily work.
In ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Dr. Smita introduces the world's most widely adopted quality standard and explains how it helps organisations deliver consistent products and services, satisfy customers and improve continuously. She begins with an overview of the QMS and its structure, then works through planning, support and operation, showing how quality objectives, resources and operational controls fit together in practice. Her internal auditing and quality assurance experience brings the performance evaluation topic to life, as learners see how monitoring, measurement, analysis and management review reveal whether a system is truly working. She concludes with continual improvement, connecting quality management principles with sustainability and longer-term organisational goals. She also draws on her experience across multiple ISO standards to show how a well-designed quality management system can sit alongside environmental and sustainability systems, so that organisations avoid duplicated effort and build one coherent approach to managing performance and risk. Through practical examples, learners gain a clear understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and practical tools to enhance quality performance, support certification readiness and achieve measurable business outcomes.
Terence Ee is a trainer and consultant whose current areas of focus include quality management, project management, information security management and office productivity applications. He has more than 25 years of corporate IT experience, including senior management roles in the public and private sectors as Chief Information Officer at the Supreme Court of Singapore and Vice President of Information Systems at Senoko Energy, where he led major IT modernisation projects. Since 2017 he has worked as an independent consultant guiding SMEs and enterprises, and he has delivered training in Singapore and Myanmar. He holds a Master of Science in Technology Management, a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences and the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).
In ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Terence draws on his quality management focus and his experience of running large organisational systems to make the standard practical. Learners start with an overview of the ISO 9001 QMS, then work through planning, support and operation, performance evaluation and continual improvement, relating each area to how real processes are managed and measured. His mission as a trainer is to co-create insightful and actionable learning experiences, so sessions use case studies and hands-on practice, and participants leave ready to help implement or maintain an ISO 9001 QMS in their own organisation.
