Generative AI for 3D Modeling shows you how AI-assisted design tools can turn text descriptions, reference images and sketches into 3D models, and how to refine those models into production-ready assets. Generative AI is changing how designers, engineers and creators approach concept development, prototyping and visualisation, cutting long stretches of manual modelling down to minutes. The course is designed for product designers, engineers, architects, game and animation artists, and makers who want to bring AI into their 3D workflow.

You will begin with generative AI for 3D design concepts and modelling, exploring current text-to-3D and image-to-3D tools, writing effective prompts and generating multiple design options quickly. Next you will move to AI-assisted 3D model analysis, validation and refinement, learning how to inspect generated meshes, fix geometry and topology issues, check scale and proportions, and refine models in tools such as Blender. You will also explore how AI can suggest design variations and textures.

The final topic covers 3D model optimisation, standards and production workflows, including reducing polygon counts, preparing models for 3D printing, games, AR and rendering, and choosing the right export formats. Throughout the course you will also discuss intellectual property and responsible use of AI-generated content. Every topic is hands-on. By the end, you will be able to combine generative AI with traditional 3D skills to create, refine and optimise 3D models efficiently.

She leverages real-world case studies and design projects to help learners master AutoCAD tools and apply them to diverse industries. Her facilitation style encourages creativity, precision, and efficiency, enabling participants to confidently use design software for both academic and professional growth.

Shahul Maricar is a certified trainer. Shahul H. Maricar has been a content developer and webmaster, building educational websites and applications with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. He then served as an IT analyst, writing programs for automating custom workflows as well as data extraction and analysis in the healthcare field.
He is currently a freelance educator and is actively involved with development projects in game programming, computer-aided design and computer graphics.

1) Take care of computer environment used by the participants: Windows & MAC don't have the same functions. Better to check with the attendees prior the courses 2) I got a version 2018 when the trainer and the other participant got the version 2017 - I met issues during the exercises

The trainer was very professional and expert. However he was more engineer oriented. Could be interesting to cover the creative potential of Sketchup. (Posted on 12/6/2017)
