His facilitation emphasizes case studies, simulations, and hands-on practice, enabling learners to apply modern IT systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to improve collaboration and business efficiency. With his leadership background and deep IT expertise, Terence prepares learners to thrive in digitally transforming environments.
CY Quah is an ACLP-certified trainer and data science professional with extensive experience in Python, NLP, and machine learning. He has led AI training programs for SAP, Temasek Polytechnic, and IMDA under the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways initiative, and has delivered corporate workshops on text analytics, recommender systems, and chatbot development. His expertise includes applying NLP tools such as NLTK, spaCy, and Gensim for sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and text classification.
Dr. Alfred Ang is the founder of Tertiary Courses. He is a serial entrepreneur. He founded OSWeb2Design Singapore Pte Ltd in 2007 offering web development, e-commerce store development, graphics design, ebook publishing, mobile apps development, and digital marketing services. He established the first online gardening store in Singapore, Eco City Hydroponics Pte Ltd in 2000, offering a wide range of gardening products such as seeds, plant nutrients, hydroponics kits etc. Eco City Hydroponics has become the most popular and successful gardening store in Singapore. He founded Tertiary Infotech Pte Ltd in 2012 and transformed the business to a training platform, Tertiary Courses in 2014. Tertiary Courses offers a wide range of SkillsFuture courses for PMETs to upgrade their skills and knowledge. He also established Tertiary Courses Malaysia in 2016. Dr. Alfred Ang earned his Ph.D. from National University of Singapore in 2000, majoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He topped his Physics cohort for 3 consecutive years and funded his degree study with Book price, awards and tuition. He has worked in Defence, Electronics and Semiconductor Industries. Dr. Alfred Ang is a ACTA certified trainer. He was Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) and Senior Member of IEEE. He has published more than 20 peer reviewed papers and co-inventors for more than 20 inventions.
Ken Yuen is an ACTA-certified adult educator specializing in STEM education, IoT systems, and programming. With a background in electrical and electronics engineering from NTU, he has conducted WSQ and SkillsFuture courses in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Jetson Nano, and Python. He is also a registered MOE instructor, having taught coding and robotics programs in over 50 schools, equipping students and professionals alike with practical IoT and programming skills.
In his IoT courses, Ken focuses on hands-on experimentation with microcontrollers, sensors, and automation systems. His prior experience as a Technical Consultant at Anson Engineering saw him develop IoT-based SCADA and temperature monitoring systems for industrial applications, giving him strong industry insight. The course was very fast paced and I ended the day exhausted. But after reviewing the codes, a lot of it become right away helpful for my work. Some concepts and applications for Arima and Prophet are still not super clear to me, but I now know how to apply them to my data and will backtest from there. The backtest sample at the end of the teachers code is very helpful, it would deserve some actual lesson time.1. Do you find the course meet your expectation? 2. Do you find the trainer knowledgeable in this subject? 3. How do you find the training environment
Zoom is not ideal, unless you have access to two screens. But woodlands is also super far for a lot of people , maybe you could consider face to face class in some other places like Starbucks for those classes with very few students?
