Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DPFMEA) Course

The 2-day course provides participant with a detailed understanding of the process of conducting system design, redesign, process, service, and machine FMEAs. In this workshop, participants will understand what FMEA is, the different types of FMEA, how to construct an DFMEA and PFMEA, and the linkages between DFMEA and PFMEA and other tools such as ISO 9001 standard the Six Sigma approach.
DPFMEA is one of the automotive core tools of IATF 16949:2016 and is also a key element of Six Sigma Program.

Mr. Chee Wing Onn, Eddy has over 30 years of working experience in the field of quality assurance and reliability in the semiconductor fabrication, semiconductor equipment manufacturing and consumer electronic manufacturing sectors which include being in a Managerial position, ISO Management Representative and Lead Auditor in ISO9001, ISO14001 and TS16949 in the company. Prior to being a Management System Consultant, he has worked for various MNC companies. He has conducted numerous second party audits in his many years in the industry.

Mr. Chee is a Certified Practising Management Consultant by SBACC and currently the Managing Consultant of Excellence Consulting & Q-Training Services Pte Ltd which provides professional consultancy and training services in management systems,

He is qualified and experienced consultant specializing in quality, environmental and safety management system consultancy and training. He has assisted many organizations from equipment manufacturing, precision machining, construction, architectural, healthcare, trading, logistic, financial, M&E, and other service sectors in ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, AS9100D Aerospace Quality Management System, ISO 13485 Medical Device. Quality Management System, IATF 16949 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System and ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity Management System.

He has sound knowledge and application of quality improvement techniques including conducted inhouse training for companies on Basic Statistics for Engineers, APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, SPC, DOE, 8D problem solving, 5S, Design of Experiments, QC 7 Tools, PDCA, as well as awareness and internal auditor training for the management systems.

FMEA TrainerHo Kum Chuen is an accomplished six sigma MBB with more than 15 years experience in process improvement with a multinational company. During these years he had trained hundreds of black belts and green belts in lean and six sigma methodology. His experience also include the training and consultation of the IATF16949 core tools ( APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and PPAP) to meet the required certification.

A Chartered Engineer registered in UK , Kum Chuen had also held various engineering managerial positions in the electronic manufacturing industries

FMEA TrainerTan Kian Meng is currently a part time statistics lecturer in polytechnics. He has more than 15 years of Quality Engineering and Quality Management experience with a global electronic manufacturing MNC, where there were opportunities to practice statistical and quality improvement methodologies. His area of specialty include SPC, SQC, Process Capability Improvement, DoE, FMEA, 6-Sigma, GD&T, GRR and Quality Systems.

He is graduated from NUS with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and M.Sc. in Industrial & System Engineering. He was also a Certified Quality Engineer with ASQ.

FEMAl TrainerKhoo Yong graduated from NTU with a bachelor degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering. Currently, working as a principal engineer in one of the top 3 Semiconductor Manufacturing Pure-Play Foundry in the world, he is a statistician support Operations and Engineering, driving the Statistical Process Control Program in the Fab. He specializes in Statistics , basic Excel and advance Excel, including excel macro coding. He regularly conduct Statistical Process Control Courses in the company. He is a certified ACTA Trainer ( Advance Certificate in Training and Accessing) as well as a certified Black Belt.
