Patrick Oh is a Singapore Certified Management Consultant whose daily work involves explaining requirements, findings and recommendations to colleagues, managers and clients who each need the message framed differently. Listed by TUV SUD as a certified consultant and leading SG Venture Consulting, he advises on governance, risk and compliance, corporate compliance, performance management and solutions design. He holds the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) credential from the IAPP, and a training-provider trainer profile records more than 13 years of Singapore PDPA consultancy. He is also an implementer and auditor of ISO management systems, including quality and environmental management and ISO 14064 greenhouse gas accounting, and he is involved in community development and sustainability reporting. Before consulting he spent years as an automation design engineer, and he continues to write on management topics. Each of these roles has taught him that missed deadlines, friction and dissatisfied customers can often be traced back to unclear communication.
This masterclass draws directly on that insight. In the first topic, evaluating workplace communication practices, Patrick helps learners look honestly at how information currently flows in their teams, using the same questioning approach he applies when auditing whether an organisation's processes are working as intended. The second topic, developing a communications plan, reflects how he prepares stakeholders for a new policy or system: setting clear goals, identifying audiences, choosing appropriate channels and deciding in advance how effectiveness will be judged. In the third topic, he draws on his solutions design and performance management experience to help learners identify the gaps and barriers that undermine understanding and to select practical fixes they can implement and measure. Throughout, he uses realistic workplace scenarios involving colleagues, managers and customers, so learners can practise speaking and writing more clearly. Participants leave more confident in the way they communicate and with a simple plan for building trust, collaboration and better results at work.
Tan Teck Hwa brings extensive professional experience in business management, customer relations and service leadership, including guiding teams through change management, process improvements and customer-focused strategies. His leadership roles include Chief Operating Officer of Unihearts International Education Group in China, Vice Principal at SMRT Institute, Corporate Services Director at ETT Academy and Vice Principal for strategic planning at Hwa Chong International School. He holds a Master of Education from NIE, NTU, a Bachelor of Engineering from Polytechnic University, Japan, a Diploma in Japanese Language and the Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance.
Teck Hwa has conducted leadership and management development training and worked across curriculum development, learning and development and organisational change, roles that rely on clear communication with staff, partners and learners. In Communication Masterclass, he draws on this experience to help executives, team leaders, managers and customer-facing staff communicate more clearly and confidently. Learners evaluate current workplace communication practices, develop a communications plan with defined goals, audiences and channels, and identify solutions to the gaps and barriers that lead to missed deadlines, conflict and lost customers. Participants leave with practical techniques they can apply immediately to strengthen working relationships, collaboration and service quality.
