Claude Design Masterclass shows you how to use Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, to design faster and better. Claude can turn a plain-English brief into working visual output, including interactive UI mockups and prototypes, presentation decks, infographics, posters and social media graphics, and then refine them through conversation. The masterclass is designed for designers, marketers, product managers, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs professional visual assets but wants to move from idea to finished design in a fraction of the usual time.

You will start by getting started with Claude for design, learning how Claude creates visual artefacts, how to write effective design briefs and how to iterate on layout, colour, typography and content through follow-up prompts. You will explore how to supply reference images, brand guidelines and data so Claude's output matches your needs. Next you will create professional design assets with Claude, building a landing page mockup, an interactive prototype, a slide deck, an infographic and a set of social media visuals step by step.

Throughout the masterclass you will learn to evaluate designs against good design principles such as hierarchy, contrast, accessibility and consistency, and to combine Claude's speed with your own creative judgement. You will also learn how to export and hand off your work to other tools and team members. All activities are hands-on. By the end, you will be able to use Claude confidently to produce polished, on-brand designs quickly.

Trainers

Dr. Alfred Ang works with Claude both as a hands-on design partner and as the engine inside the products he builds. Several of his public GitHub projects are built on the Claude Agent SDK: tapcard, a mobile-first digital business card platform with a built-in CRM; ai-cms, a self-hosted AI-powered CMS with AI content generation and a weekly auto-blog scheduler; and ai-pei, an AI-powered Next.js CMS with a self-improving chatbot. He has also published Claude Code skills, including a skills collection with a README generator and NotebookLM slides, and tertiary-wsq-skills, which produces courseware slides, learner guides and lesson plans in a consistent house style. His visual tools show the same interest in fast, prompt-driven design, from whiteboard, a browser whiteboard with an icon-centric toolbar and flowchart elements, to logomaker, which generates logo options from a text description, and arvr-playground, a browser-based WebXR playground for generating and reviewing AR and VR scenes from vibe prompts. He is the founder of Tertiary Courses and the Managing Director, CIO, CTO and Chief Instructional Designer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, where he works as a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect, courseware developer and corporate trainer. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUS, an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU and a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from NUS, together with a Certificate in AI Ethics and Governance (Senior Professional) from NTU and certifications including Microsoft Certified AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) and AWS Certified AI Practitioner.

In the Claude Design Masterclass, Dr. Ang shows designers, marketers, product managers and entrepreneurs how to move from a plain-English brief to finished visual work in a fraction of the usual time. The first topic covers getting started with Claude for design: how Claude creates visual artefacts, how to write a design brief that specifies audience, purpose, layout and tone, and how to refine output through conversation instead of starting again. The second topic puts that into practice, with learners creating professional assets such as interactive UI mockups and prototypes, presentation decks, infographics, posters and social media graphics. Because he produces courseware decks and web content with Claude himself, he can show realistic workflows rather than polished demos, including how to keep colours, fonts and spacing consistent across a set of assets and how to give feedback that Claude can act on precisely. He also covers the checks that still belong to a human designer: accuracy of facts and figures, accessibility, brand fit and the rights to any material that goes into a brief. Sessions are hands-on and paced for non-programmers, and each learner works on briefs relevant to their own role so that they leave with assets and reusable prompt patterns they can use straight away. Dwight Nuwan Fonseka is Head of Data Science at Plano Pte. Ltd. and an ACLP-certified trainer specialising in data analytics, machine learning and practical AI applications. His hands-on work spans predictive modelling, deep learning with TensorFlow and Keras, and interactive RShiny dashboards that present analysis visually for decision-makers. He brings experience from healthcare, finance and customer analytics, and approaches AI with an eye on both its opportunities and its risks. A Masters in Education graduate from NTU, he spent eight years teaching biology in international schools in Singapore and overseas, giving him a structured, learner-focused teaching style.

In the Claude Design Masterclass, Dwight applies his applied AI background and his experience in communicating insights visually through dashboards to the design workflow. He helps learners get started with Claude for design, turning plain-English briefs into UI mockups, prototypes, presentation decks, infographics, posters and social media graphics, and then refining them through conversation. Jim Gan Chiu Liang is a software developer and data automation specialist with over 15 years of experience building Microsoft Excel VBA solutions for business process optimisation. His work includes automated workflows, interactive dashboards and complex financial models for organisations in finance, logistics and education, all aimed at reducing manual effort and improving data accuracy. He holds a Master of Technology in Knowledge Engineering from the NUS Institute of Systems Science, is an ACTA-certified trainer and works as an adjunct trainer at PACE Academy, Singapore Polytechnic. He was previously a chief instructor for Kumon Education.

In Claude Design Masterclass, Jim helps learners use Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, to design faster and better. Though an operational researcher by study, he is most energised by practical applications, and he also runs his own startup.

Learners begin by getting started with Claude for design, learning how to write clear plain-English briefs, and then move on to creating professional design assets such as interactive UI mockups and prototypes, presentation decks and infographics. Liew Sing Loon is an ACTA-certified trainer with an engineering and technology management background. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1992 with a Second Upper Honours degree in Electrical Engineering and later obtained a Master of Science in Technology Management from NUS. He began his career as an Electronic Product Design Engineer at a multinational company, then spent fifteen years in the IT sector as a Key Account Manager, proposing integrated software, hardware and services solutions to banking, telecommunications and government clients. For the last decade, he has been an Adjunct Lecturer at several Institutes of Higher Learning.

In Claude Design Masterclass, Liew brings his product design experience and years of presenting solutions to clients to the use of Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, for design work.
