Automating Digital Marketing with Claude Cowork and Higgsfield MCP
Every Tuesday and Friday at 9:00am, our marketing publishes itself. A research agent scans what changed in AI that week, a writer agent turns it into a long-form article with a branded cover, our managers tap one approval button on their phones, and the piece goes live and shares itself to LinkedIn and Facebook. Twice a week, every week — and since April 2026, the same agent team can produce the video creative too. This is a build log of that pipeline: what runs it, where Claude Cowork and Higgsfield MCP slot in, and the practical skills we picked up making it production-grade.
Why 2026 is the year marketing pipelines became agentic
Two releases changed the equation this year. First, Anthropic's Claude Cowork — announced as a research preview on 12 January 2026 and generally available since 9 April 2026 — gave non-developers what Claude Code gave engineers: an agent workspace with file access, scheduled recurring tasks, folder-level instructions and a plugin marketplace, all running in isolated cloud sandboxes that keep going even when your laptop is closed. A marketer can now own an autonomous workflow without writing a deployment script.
Second, Higgsfield MCP launched on 30 April 2026 and turned creative production into a tool call. One MCP connection gives your agent 30+ image and video models — Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, Flux, Higgsfield's own Soul model and Cinema Studio — with no per-model API keys. Its Marketing Studio takes a product URL and returns a polished video ad in about five minutes, and Soul ID keeps the same AI presenter consistent across every scene and every campaign. In other words: the last manual stage of an automated marketing pipeline — the creative — is now automatable too.
Anatomy of a self-running digital marketing pipeline
Here is the exact agent team we run in production at Tertiary Infotech Academy, and the one we teach. Each stage is a separate agent with a narrow job, connected by a queue and a human approval gate:
- Topic scout (research agent). Uses live web search to find what genuinely changed in the last 60 days — new model releases, benchmarks, security incidents — and returns a structured brief: topic, angle, why-now, key facts with dates, and sources. No brief, no post: evergreen filler is the death of engagement.
- Writer agent. Turns the brief into a 1,200–1,800-word article that cites the sources, weaves in the campaign's conversion goal, and outputs strict JSON — title, slug, HTML body, meta tags — so the system can save it without a human copy-pasting anything.
- Creative agent. This is where Higgsfield MCP earns its keep. The agent prompts Marketing Studio with the landing-page URL for a 15-second vertical ad, uses Soul ID so our brand presenter looks identical in every clip, and renders a 4K cover image for the article and email header. What used to be a two-day designer turnaround is a five-minute tool call inside the same chat session.
- Approval gate (the human). The draft — article, cover, video — lands in the managers' inbox with two signed one-tap links: Approve & schedule or Request changes. One approval books the next free publishing slot; a change request regenerates the draft from the feedback and re-sends it. Nothing publishes without a human decision, and nobody has to log into anything to decide.
- Scheduler and distributor. Approved content publishes on fixed slots (ours: Tuesday and Friday, 9:00am), then auto-posts to LinkedIn and Facebook exactly once — deduplicated, so a retry can never double-post. Blast statistics (open rate, click rate) flow back into a learnings log the design agents read before the next run.
Wiring it up in Claude Cowork
You do not need our Magento codebase to run this loop. In Claude Cowork the same architecture looks like this:
- Connect Higgsfield MCP from the official MCP endpoint — it works with Claude on web, Cowork and Claude Code, plus agents like OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.
- Create a folder per campaign with folder instructions that hold your brand voice, banned claims, funding-mention rules and CTA links — Cowork reads them on every run.
- Schedule the recurring task: "Every Monday and Thursday, research this week's AI developments relevant to [product], draft the post, generate the Higgsfield creative, and email the draft to [manager] for approval." Cowork's scheduled tasks run it in a cloud sandbox on time, every time.
- Keep the human gate. Have the agent send drafts for sign-off rather than publish directly. Autonomy without an approval gate is how brands end up apologising on X.
New skills from the actual build
These are the lessons that only showed up when the pipeline met production — the difference between a demo and a system you trust with your brand:
- Make every write idempotent. Social shares, roster inserts, queue pops — everything is deduplicated by a stored ID, so cron retries and double-clicks are harmless no-ops.
- Claim slots atomically. Two managers approving at the same moment must not double-book a publish slot. A single conditional database update decides the winner; the loser just sees "already scheduled".
- Sign your approval links. Our approve/reject links carry an HMAC token bound to the draft and the reviewer — the link itself is the authorisation, so managers approve from a phone without a login, and nobody can forge a decision.
- Degrade gracefully. If web search is unavailable the writer falls back to evergreen mode; if the image renderer fails the post ships without a hero rather than not shipping. An automated pipeline that halts on any missing tool is worse than a manual one.
- Pace the machine. A hard cap — two posts a week, fixed slots — protects your audience from the agent's infinite appetite. The scarcity is a feature, not a limitation.
- Close the loop with data. Every campaign's open and click rates get scored against the running average, and the winners' hooks and subjects feed the next brief. The pipeline literally gets better every week without anyone tuning it.
Learn to build this — with WSQ funding
All of this is exactly what our WSQ - Agentic AI for Digital Marketing course trains hands-on: formulating multi-channel strategy with agentic AI and GenAI deep research, wiring AI-agent analytics into your KPIs, prompt-engineering the creative, and evaluating the ROI of what the agents ship. Because it is a WSQ course, eligible Singaporeans and PRs enjoy up to 70% SkillsFuture funding, you can offset the fee with SkillsFuture Credit, and SMEs get enhanced subsidy support for staff they send. Register for the next class and build your own pipeline in class, not just watch one.
FAQ
Do I need to be a programmer to build this pipeline?
No. Claude Cowork was built precisely so non-developers can run scheduled agent workflows — folder instructions and the plugin marketplace replace deployment scripts. Our course teaches the marketer-friendly path first and shows the code-level version for teams that want deeper control.
Can I claim SkillsFuture Credit for this course?
Yes. WSQ - Agentic AI for Digital Marketing is SkillsFuture-claimable: eligible Singaporeans and PRs receive up to 70% course-fee funding, individuals can use SkillsFuture Credit to offset the balance, and companies sponsoring staff can tap SME subsidy support. GST for funded learners is computed on the pre-subsidy course fee, as SSG requires.
Is AI-generated video good enough for real campaigns?
In 2026, yes — with direction. Models like Kling 3.0 and Veo 3.1 via Higgsfield produce ad-grade 15-second spots, and Soul ID solves the consistency problem that made earlier AI video feel uncanny. The craft has moved from editing footage to briefing agents — which is a prompt-engineering skill you can learn in a classroom.
What to do next
Pick one channel you post to manually today and automate just its research-and-draft stage this week — keep the approval gate human. Then connect Higgsfield MCP and let the same agent produce the creative. When you are ready to do it properly, with funding support and an instructor who has shipped this in production, sign up for WSQ - Agentic AI for Digital Marketing — and let your marketing publish itself while you sleep.
