Basic Semiconductor Devices Course

Semiconductor devices are the fundamental building blocks of VLSI circuits. A good understanding of semiconductor devices such as PN Junction diodes, Light Emitting Diodes (LED), Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJT) , Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors (MOSFETs ) and critical to engineers working in the semiconductor industry. This course aims to provide the basic knowledge of semiconductor devices and how they work.

Mr Suchit is a very knowledgeable and analytical trainer. He was able to tailor the lesson to suit my needs of viewing an engineering problem from the perspective of physics; the physical properties of electronic components from ground up.

This allows for a macro perspective of solving a problem, and provides a deep understanding of how engineering devices work together in tandem, as a result of physical properties, to solve a certain requirement.

It is also about defining the problem, and to seek for the best solution by making use of the best features of a certain physical component, and get down to prove the hypothesis.

This is an especially important concept that I feel, all engineers should internalize as one of their problem solving skill set. (Posted on 12/5/2019)
