What's This Course About

AI Vibe Coding for Python Financial Analysis teaches you how to use AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude to analyse financial data with Python. Instead of writing every line of code yourself, you describe what you want in plain English, review what the AI produces and steer it until the analysis is right. The course is designed for finance professionals, analysts, investors and accountants who want to harness Python for financial work without needing to be expert programmers.

You will start by getting set up with AI vibe coding for financial analysis, installing the tools and learning how to prompt an AI assistant to write, explain and debug Python code using pandas and related libraries. Next you will analyse financial data with AI, importing price and financial statement data, cleaning it, calculating returns, ratios and growth rates, and exploring trends. You will then apply vibe coding to portfolio and investment analysis, measuring risk and return, volatility, correlation and diversification, and comparing portfolio strategies.

The final topic covers building financial dashboards and reports, turning your analysis into clear charts and interactive dashboards that communicate insights to stakeholders. Throughout the course you will learn to check AI-generated code and results carefully, avoid common data pitfalls and keep your analysis reproducible. All exercises are hands-on with real financial data. By the end, you will be able to use AI-assisted Python to perform financial analysis faster and with confidence.

Dr. Alfred Ang combines a scientist's rigour with a practical interest in markets, which makes him a natural guide for AI Vibe Coding for Python Financial Analysis. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NUS, an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU and a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from NUS, and he has completed an Executive Programme in Algorithmic Trading from QuantInsti. Today he is a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect, courseware developer and corporate trainer, serving as Managing Director, CIO, CTO and Chief Instructional Designer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, which runs Tertiary Courses, the training platform he founded. His data credentials are directly relevant: he is a Microsoft Certified Data Scientist (DP-100), Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) and AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), and an IBM certified instructor for the AI Practitioners course. Among the 300+ public repositories on his GitHub is n8n-financeadvisor, a stock analysis dashboard with TradingView and TwelveData charts and live OHLC and volume data, connected to an n8n-powered Telegram AI agent that gives Buy, Sell or Hold recommendations with its reasoning. He has also built n8n-investmentadvisor, an investment advisor lead-magnet website with an enquiry and FAQ chatbot workflow, and financialplanning, a one-page site for a Singapore financial planner with a retirement calculator. Earlier in his career he worked in the defence, electronics and semiconductor industries, published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and co-invented more than 20 US patents.

In this course Dr. Ang shows finance professionals, analysts, investors and accountants how to get Python working for them without first becoming programmers. The first topic sets up the vibe coding environment and teaches learners to prompt AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude to write, explain and debug pandas code in plain English. The second applies that workflow to analysing financial data: loading price histories and statements, cleaning them, calculating returns and volatility and charting trends. The third moves into portfolio and investment analysis, where learners compare assets, examine risk and test simple strategies, and the fourth brings everything together into financial dashboards and reports that can be shared with colleagues or clients. Because he has built a live market dashboard with an AI agent on top, he can show where AI-generated code is reliable and where it quietly goes wrong, and he teaches learners to check every figure the assistant produces before trusting it. His Power BI and data science certifications help him explain how a Python analysis becomes a clear visual story for decision-makers. As an ACTA-certified trainer and DACE-certified curriculum developer, he paces the class carefully, demonstrates each step live and then has participants steer the AI themselves on their own datasets. Learners leave with working notebooks, a reusable prompting approach and the confidence to automate the spreadsheet-heavy analysis that fills their week. Solomon Soh is a data scientist and AI trainer with a Master's in Financial Engineering, an MBA and a double degree in Economics and Psychology from Singapore Management University, awarded Summa Cum Laude with a triple major in Analytics. He has a strong record of teaching and mentoring in Python programming, data analytics and machine learning, including his work as a Data Science Trainer with IBM Singapore, where he earned a 96% learner satisfaction rating. His career also spans Workforce Optimizer, Certis Cisco, Ernst & Young and IQVIA, where he used Python-driven analytics to improve operations and deliver actionable insights.

AI Vibe Coding for Python Financial Analysis is a natural fit for his financial engineering and Python background. Learners use AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude to get started with vibe coding for financial analysis, analyse financial data with AI, carry out portfolio and investment analysis, and build financial dashboards and reports. Solomon helps learners describe each analysis clearly in plain English, check the numbers the generated code produces, and present results that decision-makers can act on. Participants leave able to analyse financial data in Python far more quickly, without needing to write every line of code themselves.

Quah Chee Yong is an ACLP-certified trainer and data science professional with extensive experience in Python, natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning. He has led AI training programmes for SAP, Temasek Polytechnic and IMDA under the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways initiative, and has delivered corporate workshops on text analytics, recommender systems and chatbot development. A firm believer that AI can create a better world, he has equipped himself with knowledge and skills in data science, machine learning, deep learning and cloud deployment. He has also held technical, operations and commercial positions across several industries, and is a Singapore WSQ-certified Adult Educator who enjoys interactive engagement with learners.

In AI Vibe Coding for Python Financial Analysis, he brings his Python and data science background to finance professionals, analysts, investors and accountants who want results without becoming expert programmers. He shows learners how to set up their tools, describe an analysis in plain English, and then review, test and steer the pandas code an AI coding assistant produces. Through the course topics, participants analyse financial data, carry out portfolio and investment analysis, and build financial dashboards and reports, while learning to check AI-generated output critically. They leave able to turn their own financial questions into working Python analyses.

Ken Yuen is an ACTA-certified adult educator specialising in STEM education, IoT systems and programming, with Python among the languages he teaches. He has conducted WSQ and SkillsFuture courses in Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit and Jetson Nano, and his career includes roles as an Application Development Engineer, Technical Consultant and Project Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is also an MOE-registered instructor who has taught coding programmes in over 50 schools.

In AI Vibe Coding for Python Financial Analysis, Ken draws on his Python teaching and application development background rather than a finance career. He helps learners get started with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude, describing an analysis in plain English and then reading, testing and steering the Python code the assistant produces. Working through financial data analysis, portfolio and investment analysis, and dashboards and reports, participants learn to check the logic behind every result. His hands-on teaching style means learners build working analyses step by step and leave confident in reviewing AI-generated code before relying on it.

Truman Ng is an ACTA-certified trainer whose engineering background combines artificial intelligence, data and enterprise systems. He graduated from NUS in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, designing an AI controller for a DC-DC power converter using fuzzy logic and neural networks as his final year project. His more than 15 years of project experience span database and web design, data centre design and enterprise network implementation, including work as a network architect for Hewlett Packard. He founded Nexplore (S) Pte Ltd, which delivers cloud and internet security solutions, and is certified in PMP, Cisco CCNP and Huawei HCIE R&S.

In AI Vibe Coding for Python Financial Analysis, Truman helps finance professionals, analysts and accountants put AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude to work on financial data. Rather than teaching every line of Python, he shows learners how to describe an analysis in plain English, check what the assistant generates and steer it until the numbers are right. Participants analyse financial datasets, carry out portfolio and investment analysis, and build dashboards and reports. His structured, project-minded approach keeps the focus on reviewing and validating AI output, so that the results learners produce can be trusted.
