What's This Course About

Gemini for Google Sheet shows you how to use Gemini, Google's AI assistant, inside Google Sheets to build formulas, clean and organise data, analyse trends and create reports in a fraction of the usual time. Instead of searching for the right function or manually reworking data, you can describe what you need in plain English and let Gemini do the heavy lifting while you check and refine the results. The course is designed for professionals, administrators, analysts, teachers and anyone who works with spreadsheets in Google Workspace.

You will start by getting started with AI in Google Sheets, learning how to access Gemini in the side panel, write effective prompts and use AI to create tables, generate formulas and explain how existing formulas work. You will practise cleaning and organising data, such as removing duplicates, splitting and combining columns, standardising formats and categorising entries. Next you will analyse and automate data with AI in Sheets, asking Gemini to summarise data, highlight trends and outliers, build pivot tables and charts and suggest insights.

Throughout the course you will also learn how to use AI functions to process text and data at scale, connect Sheets with other Google Workspace apps and automate repetitive steps. You will cover how to verify AI results and protect sensitive information. Every exercise is hands-on with realistic business datasets. By the end, you will be able to use Gemini in Google Sheets confidently to work faster, reduce errors and turn your spreadsheet data into clear, useful insights.

With a background in electrical and electronics engineering from NTU, he has conducted WSQ and SkillsFuture courses in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Jetson Nano, and Python. He is also a registered MOE instructor, having taught coding and robotics programs in over 50 schools, equipping students and professionals alike with practical IoT and programming skills. In his IoT courses, Ken focuses on hands-on experimentation with microcontrollers, sensors, and automation systems. His prior experience as a Technical Consultant at Anson Engineering saw him develop IoT-based SCADA and temperature monitoring systems for industrial applications, giving him strong industry insight. By blending educational expertise with technical project experience, Ken ensures learners develop the confidence to build, test, and apply IoT solutions in real-world contexts.
Terence Ee is an experienced IT leader and consultant with more than 25 years of expertise in technology management, information systems, and digital transformation. He has served as Chief Information Officer at the Supreme Court of Singapore and Vice President of Information Systems at Senoko Energy, where he led major IT modernization projects. Since 2017, he has worked as an independent consultant and ACLP-certified trainer, specializing in guiding SMEs and enterprises in adopting future-ready digital platforms. As a WSQ-accredited trainer, Terence delivers programs in digital collaboration, IT governance, and productivity tools. His facilitation emphasizes case studies, simulations, and hands-on practice, enabling learners to apply modern IT systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to improve collaboration and business efficiency. With his leadership background and deep IT expertise, Terence prepares learners to thrive in digitally transforming environments.
Dwight Nuwan Fonseka is Head of Data Science at Plano Pte. Ltd. and an ACLP-certified trainer with deep expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and AI applications. He has extensive hands-on experience developing predictive models, RShiny dashboards, and deep learning solutions using R, Python, TensorFlow, and Keras. With a strong professional background in healthcare, finance, and customer analytics, Dwight brings an applied perspective to teaching AI, focusing on both the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies.
