Put an AI agent to work on your trading research. This hands-on 1-day course teaches you how to use AI agents to research trading ideas and turn them into structured, testable hypotheses, connect the agent to reliable market data and check its quality, and run a disciplined six-step trading workflow — from defining rules through backtesting, auditing and risk sizing, all the way to placing paper trades.

Through practical projects, participants will direct an AI agent through a complete trading research cycle: framing a hypothesis, validating market data, backtesting a rule-based strategy, auditing the results, sizing risk and executing paper trades. Crucially, you will build the verify-then-trust habit — using checkpoints to review and validate every output the agent produces so you stay in control of the process. By the end of the course, you will be able to apply AI agents to research, test and paper-trade strategies with a repeatable, auditable workflow.

Trainers

Ken Yuen is an ACTA-certified adult educator specializing in STEM education, IoT systems, and programming. With a background in electrical and electronics engineering from NTU, he has conducted WSQ and SkillsFuture courses in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Jetson Nano, and Python. He is also a registered MOE instructor, having taught coding and robotics programs in over 50 schools, equipping students and professionals alike with practical IoT and programming skills. In his IoT courses, Ken focuses on hands-on experimentation with microcontrollers, sensors, and automation systems. His prior experience as a Technical Consultant at Anson Engineering saw him develop IoT-based SCADA and temperature monitoring systems for industrial applications, giving him strong industry insight. By blending educational expertise with technical project experience, Ken ensures learners develop the confidence to build, test, and apply IoT solutions in real-world contexts.

Terence Ee is an experienced IT leader and consultant with more than 25 years of expertise in technology management, information systems, and digital transformation. He has served as Chief Information Officer at the Supreme Court of Singapore and Vice President of Information Systems at Senoko Energy, where he led major IT modernization projects. Since 2017, he has worked as an independent consultant and ACLP-certified trainer, specializing in guiding SMEs and enterprises in adopting future-ready digital platforms. As a WSQ-accredited trainer, Terence delivers programs in digital collaboration, IT governance, and productivity tools. His facilitation emphasizes case studies, simulations, and hands-on practice, enabling learners to apply modern IT systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to improve collaboration and business efficiency. With his leadership background and deep IT expertise, Terence prepares learners to thrive in digitally transforming environments.

Dr Alvin Ang is a ACTA certified trainer. Alvin Ang did his Ph.D., Masters and Bachelors from NTU, Singapore. Previously he was a Principal Consultant (Data Science) as well as an Assistant Professor. He was also 8 years SUSS adjunct lecturer. His focus and interest is in the area of real world data science. Though an operational researcher by study, his passion for practical applications outweigh his academic background. He owns a startup externally.

Man Guo Chang is a ACTA certified trainer. Man Guo Chang graduated from Nanyang Technological University, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, major in Computer Engineering. He has more than 25 years of working experience in the Semiconductor field, specialized in IC Testing, Inline Electrical Testing, Product & Yield Engineering, Data Analysis, System Engineering, and Software Development.

Shahul H. Maricar is a ACTA certified trainer. Shahul H. Maricar has been a content developer and webmaster, building educational websites and applications with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. He then served as an IT analyst, writing programs for automating custom workflows as well as data extraction and analysis in the healthcare field.
He is currently a freelance educator and is actively involved with development projects in game programming, computer-aided design and computer graphics.

I think the course could be broken up into 3 days, since there is a lot of information. Also would be great to have a suggested reading list and links for further reading to prepare a bit. (Posted on 12/24/2016)

Since this is a basic course for someone with 0 programming knowledge, i personally feel that it is more important to have a solid foundation of the basic stuff (modules 1-3) before moving on to harder stuff (modules 4,5) that builds on modules 1-3.

Modules 4 & 5 were much harder to grasp, if a simpler method could be developed to help students new to programming understand the containing concepts, it would be great!! (Posted on 8/30/2016)
