  • Provide the necessary growing environment
  • Select or design hydroponic systems
  • Diagnose plant problems

Participants will also be provided with a a Hydroponics Hobby Kit (participants can take this kit home & practice)

There are too many sharing of examples of hydroponics projects world wide. As this is a basic course, the target audience are those who want to start hydroponics or aquaponics in their house. More operational details in hydroponics such as maintaining the system such as adding nutrients, checking system health should be factor in. Eg the project on the roof top of Changi Hospital. The project was very successful and beautiful. What we as beginners is wanting to know how to setup and maintain it. When to add nutrients and what to check was not covered. But trainer was knowledgeable and able to answer many questions that I ask.

Overall I managed to gather a few pointers to explore in hydroponics and aquaponics (Posted on 5/13/2018)

As time is very tight, delete the history part and include how to use the EC meter that we purchased during the class, some basic info on LED lights including some pointers on how to grow fruit vegetables (tomato, brinjal, ladies fingers) and flowering plants (marigolds, zinnias, nasturtiums, etc)

Gregory is very knowledgeable and passionate about hydroponics. Will you be able to organize a visit on a Saturday for past students to visit his work in NYP?
