Effective Communication Training

Learn and master the essentials of effective coummunication and public speaking. Participants will get to understand how to prepare a presentation, focus on body language to create a positive image, use simple visual aids to strengthen a presentation. Correct pronunciation and enunciation, proper use of grammar and sentence structure are also covered. Also covered is a segment on dress to impress. Participants will learn how to craft speeches and ensure that their message gets through to their audience.

Public Speaking Trainer Donovan is currently the founder and art director of LOUPE Singapore, a full-service social design studio based in Singapore. He received his BA(Hons) in Design Communication at Goldsmiths, University of London. As a keen advocate for social change, Donovan has worked with clients such as Ministry of Education, National Environment Agency and the Republic of Singapore Navy amongst many others. As an academic, Donovan has also been awarded the Ngee Ann Student Excellence Award for National Representation and Ngee Ann Scholarship Award for outstanding contributions to the art

Communication TrainerShiva Venkatraman is a multi-faceted venture Growth Leader with strong operating and investment experience via various roles (COO, Sr VP, CTO, Board Member and Advisory Board Member) in providing strategic direction for the application of leading edge technologies to solve complex business challenges and achieving creditable results. He has deep business expertise in sales/channels, quality management systems (ISO/SEI) and mentoring/coaching SME business owners in communications, project management, design thinking as well as organizational design matters. Shiva holds top degrees with top honors from world-class universities like IIT, Purdue and MIT Sloan (MBA from the Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership). He is also Recipient of two patents and numerous invention disclosures.

Public SpeakingTrainerStephen Tan is a Supply Chain professional and practitioner with extensive experiences in End to End Supply Chain, Operations and Supply Management. His experience hails from his career at senior management level at MNC, SME and Non-Profit organisation with industries ranging from Electronic, Chemical, Healthcare, and Offshore & Marine including Oil & Gas industries. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Distinction from RMIT University. Stephen also has an MBA from Macquarie University as well as a Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance (ACCA, UK). He is awarded Life Time Certification in Supply Management from ISM, USA and the IE study award with Singapore Management University for Global Supply Chain Management.

He trains (ACTA certified), lecture and does adhoc consultancy project and had worked a philanthropic organization and currently Unilever Indonesia working on Supply Chain and Operations optimization after his stint with a Norwegian regional AP office working on ERP project.

Stephen is an ardent and enthusiastic user of MS Excel not only to simplify reporting for KPI but also as a tool for problem solving, decision making and cost optimization. He has also created various MS Excel tools that linked with ERP to create What-If scenario to solve problem and provide optimum solution. He believes in lifelong learning and has obtained a Specialist Diploma in Business Intelligence and Data Analytic in 2017. He desires to extend the Data Visualization capability of MS Excel, deepening his knowledge, simplifying it and sharing and teaching his knowledge to professional as well as layman.

He had worked previously with HP, CMB as Regional Procurement and handles End to End Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics with top European Flavor and Fragrance companies: Dragoco, Symrise. He also does IT projects, ERP implementations with various systems ranging from RenCS, SAP, IFS and as well as smaller SAGE-ACCPAC supply module systems which automates as well as optimize resources.

He has also developed business analytic system for Supply Chain, Order management, On-Time Delivery and Inventory Control system using combination of Excel, MS Access and other IT tools to leverage data from IT and ERP systems.

Public Speaking TrainerIan is an Associate Adult Educator with the Institute of Adult Learning Singapore who plays a very significant role in raising the quality of Continuing Education and Training in Singapore. With 7 years of experiences of teaching/training/consulting in Effective Communication, Customer Service and Leadership in the service and training industries in multinational and Ministry of Defence. He was a Directing Staff at SAFTI Military Institute in the Institute for Military Learning and delivered effective, engaging & efficient lessons in the Singapore Armed Forces. Using various pedagogies approaches and learning technologies to develop competent, confident and committed SAF Training Development & Instructional Practitioners (Instructors) ranging from Sergeants, Warrant Officers and Colonels in Military rank through training courses.

His key achievements include Instrumental to the strategic merger of multiple operational department in MNC creating job enlargement opportunities leading to an EXSA award by Spring Singapore.

Public Speaking and Communication TrainerMohamad Saddiq has been speaking for over a decade. He won several public speaking awards including the impromptu speeches and speech evaluation contests. In the past five years, he has presented to audiences ranging from students, corporate officers, grassroots leaders and ministers. In addition, he served as emcee for events including speech competitions and awards presentation ceremonies.

Communication TrainerAngus Carter is a Management and Psychology graduate from the Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a business and management veteran with more than thirty years experience across multiple industries in the UK and in Asia. Over the years, Angus has helped thousands individuals and organisations to improve their performance through high-impact executive coaching, consulting and training programmes.

In addition to actively running his own management consulting company, Angus is also an executive director of Hongbao Media, a regional TV production and content marketing company.

Possibly handouts on relevant reading material, more time for practical work, but generally great, quite efficient! (Posted on 1/16/2018)
