Domain 1 Cloud Concepts

  • Explain cloud advantages to stakeholders (infrastructure, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, faster/cheaper app building)
  • Explain cost to stakeholders (compute/data/network costs, support plans for PASR, ROI)
  • Explain performance, reliability (SLA, disaster recovery/backup), and availability to stakeholders
  • Explain scalability to stakeholders (auto-scaling rules based on demand)
  • Recommend off-the-shelf (e.g. Office 365, Adobe Express) vs custom cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud)

Domain 2 Developing Cloud Architecture

  • Choose between public, private, and hybrid cloud implementations
  • Draw an architectural diagram showing compute/data/network components, logical groupings, and data flows
  • Define requirements: virtualization decisions, serverless benefits, networking/storage/memory needs
  • Identify how services communicate via APIs

Domain 5 Understanding Cloud Governance

  • Comply with privacy and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PDPA, FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, CCPA, NIST/ISO frameworks)
