Jim Gan Chiu Liang is an experienced software developer and data automation specialist with over 15 years of experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Excel VBA solutions for business process optimization. His expertise lies in developing automated workflows, interactive dashboards, and complex financial models that reduce manual workload and improve data accuracy. Jim has worked with organizations across finance, logistics, and education sectors, helping them leverage Excel’s advanced programming capabilities to drive efficiency and decision-making.
Ken Hiong is a ACTA certified trainer. Ken has over 20 years of work experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, having assumed various functional and managerial roles in sales, marketing, business development, finance, business analysis and planning. With an interest and experience in scripting, Ken has worked on projects using HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, WordPress, MS Office, VBA, Power BI, etc. Notably, Ken is a proven expert Excel user at work who has made efficient many work processes, improved data analysis and enhanced the quality of business planning and reporting for organizations.
Ken graduated with a Pharmacy degree, holds a Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Adelaide. An ardent advocate of lifelong learning, Ken is ACTA trained and seeks to continually upgrade his IT skills through various channels of learning and Microsoft certifications. With MS Office Master qualification, Ken looks forward to assisting individuals and corporations improve their computer skills, productivity and business outcomes.
Dwight Nuwan Fonseka is Head of Data Science at Plano Pte. Ltd. and an ACLP-certified trainer with deep expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and AI applications. He has extensive hands-on experience developing predictive models, RShiny dashboards, and deep learning solutions using R, Python, TensorFlow, and Keras. With a strong professional background in healthcare, finance, and customer analytics, Dwight brings an applied perspective to teaching AI, focusing on both the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies.
Dr. Mak Wai Keong has a Doctor of Education (EdD.) and has completed his Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Management of Technology in 2000 at the National University of Singapore. In 1994, he obtained his Bachelor of Science (Merit) in Chemistry and Mathematics from the National University of Singapore.
Upon graduation with a BSc degree, he started his career in the area of training and multimedia development, and set up a company in 1997 to focus on multimedia training development for the telecommunications and semi-conductor industries. Being passionate in research and training, and educating the youth, he then moved to the academic and research domains as a lecturer at Temasek and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. His research capacity started at SIM University as a Research Associate, and National Institute of Education (Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practices (CRPP). He was able to apply his experience in Learning Technology areas at the Singapore Polytechnic and Yale-NUS College where he was the Associate Director for Educational Resources & Technology.
Dr. Mak last appointment was at the Institute for Adult Learning, Innovation Lab (iN.LAB) as the Senior Learning Innovator before starting out on his own. He curated 4 major programs for iN.LAB, namely InnovByte, InnovLogue, InnovJam and InnovPlus.
He is author and co-author of numerous international journal and conference papers. Currently, he is the Group CEO of Edtrix Group – comprises Edtrix Solutions Pte. Ltd., Edtrix Innovation Pte. Ltd., Edtrix Enterprise Pte. Lte. and SmartzWerkz Pte. Ltd. His work involves research and development in Learner (and Gamer) Profiling (a psychometric tool that purports one’s learning preference) through Block Chain, Artificial Intelligence (Data, Textual, Auditory and Video [DTAV] Analytics), Supervised, Unsupervised and Reinforcement Learning. He is also into Conscious and Unconscious Learning through Games. He is currently working on various AI projects with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, GSK Singapore, as well as consultancy work with SIM GE and ITE College East. Dr. Alvin Ang is a ACTA certified trainer. Dr. Alvin Ang did his Ph.D., Masters and Bachelors from NTU, Singapore. Previously he was a Principal Consultant (Data Science) as well as an Assistant Professor. He was also 8 years SUSS adjunct lecturer. His focus and interest is in the area of real world data science. Though an operational researcher by study, his passion for practical applications outweigh his academic background. He owns a startup externally.

Course was well paced and trainer & participants interaction helps make the class interesting.
