Deric Yeak is the Founder and Director of Lefty Talents Group (www.leftygroup.com). Lefty Talents Group is a software development, design and digital marketing company that leverages on new technologies as the key driver to create compelling ideas to realize visions.
Having MNCs and established local SMEs as their clientele, Deric has experience in digital advertising and leveraging on new Infocomm Technology (ICT) to develop mobile and web applications to transform businesses to embrace the 4th Industrial Revolution (Cyber-physical Systems.
Passionate in product development and teaching, Deric trains tech start-ups using Design Sprint, a problem-solving methodology from Google Ventures in accelerator programs and hackathons. He is also a regular judge for NUS post-graduate MBA courses.
Prior to that, he was a trader and stockbroker in the equity market where he developed an algorithm for his own personal investments. Apart from financial services, Deric also worked in manufacturing, fast moving consumer goods as well as the offshore and marine sectors. He held engineering positions in regional sales, costing and project management.
Deric is WSQ ACTA qualified Adult Educator and an alumni of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), graduating with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) degree.
