What's This Course About

3ds Max is one of the current state of the art tools for architectural visualization, industrial design, animation filmmaking and game design. This beginner-level course helps you to start your career in 3D architectural visualization. You will learn in this course how to create compelling, attractive photo-realistic renders and animations of your building, interior, product or scene.

You will learn the key concepts and explore the process involved in preparing, rendering and animating your 3D model. You will also learn how to light, texture and render using the standard tools inside 3ds Max. This course will help you start creating 3D models, work for architectural visualization firms or architect houses. You will also learn how to use the Internet as a platform to sell your 3D models.

Ive attended an earlier course (SketchUp) with you and believe I went away with better knowledge of the software. I left the SketchUp course equipped with the basic skills to start and get better at it over time.

However, I was not impressed with my recent attendance for 3DS Max. It left me with more Questions and we were not able to complete every module properly due to technical issues. I have no doubt the trainer has good experience. But we were restricted by different software versions.

I assume the trainer was using Tertiary Infotech issued laptop installed w/ the latest 3DS Max software. The trainer however is more familiar with an older version of it. Plug-ins for camera, surface materials, rendering could not be used by him nor us due to different versions. Another student also came with a laptop not installed with the software and some considerable time was needed to set it up for him.

There were many times we paused either to resolve technical matters or allow the trainer time to familiarize w/ a different 3DS Max version.

I felt I did not leave the course equipped with necessary skills to do my own hands-on. If the students had known what to prepare (i.e installing the right 3DS Max version) the course would have run smoother and be better equipped by the end of it. Im contemplating attending the 2-day Rhino course but worried if we end up facing similar issues and not having the proper skills after paying the course fee. Appreciate your response.
