Topic 1: Understanding Client's Needs and Cultural Considerations for Flower Arrangement

• Identifying suitable types of flowers and plant materials for different occasions
• Recognising client's ethnic or religious background that may impact flower selection
• Consulting clients and/or managers to verify order requirements, cost, and message wording
• Determining the availability of flowers, plant material stock, and other required merchandise
• Understanding the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in flower arrangement tasks
• Familiarising with workplace safety and health (WSH) guidelines 

Topic 2: Selection of Materials and Tools for Flower Arrangements

• Understanding tools and equipment required for arranging flowers 
• Selecting gauges, types of wires, and support props for various uses 
• Determining appropriate plant materials, tools, and equipment according to requirements 
• Knowledge of gauges, types of wires, support props, and tapes or coverings for wires 
• Demo and Practice .

Topic 3: Mastering Wiring Techniques and Accessory Incorporation

• Applying tapes and coverings to wire gauges 
• Preparing a variety of species using various supporting methods of wiring 
• Applying wiring to accessories incorporated into flower arrangements 
• Understanding elements and principles of design to arrangement and construction of floral design 
• Learning about types of decorative accessories and/or message holders and their advantages and disadvantages 
• Demo and Practice

Topic 4: Weaving Foliage and Ensuring Freshness of Floral Products

• Manipulating and/or weaving foliage, plant material, or other material included in the flower arrangements 
• Implementing methods to keep floral products fresh 
• Packing and storing items ready for delivery according to procedures 
• Understanding various methods of wiring techniques and the specific characteristics of plant materials suitable for such wiring 
• Learning about methods to retain the freshness of floral products
