Provide students with an introduction to HTML and CSS used in designing and creating web pages. Students will have a complete and wide array of customization freedom in the creation of their own web pages!

Course Schedule

No of Sessions: 8 (4 weeks)
Duration Per Session : 1.5 hrs (7pm to 8:30pm)
Start on beginning of every month - Tuesday and Friday
Class Size: 5-10 pax

Course Details

Lesson 1 – Setup and Preparation Designed to provide students with a very basic understanding of the IDE (VS Code) and computer basic file management.

Lesson 2 – HTML Basics Introduction to HTML, with a background, description of tags, and use of entry-level tags.

Lesson 3 – CSS Basics Introduction to CSS, with a background, example of a site with CSS, and basic styling

Lesson 4 – Advanced HTML Tags Teach students more about writing more complex webpages through the use of more complex tags

Lesson 5 – Advanced CSS Styling Teach students about nicer, more complex styling of webpages through the use of different fonts and font formats

Lesson 6 – CSS Page Layout Teach students about formatting conventions and how to modify webpages to have a neater layout

Lesson 7 – Introduction to WordPress Introduction to WordPress and understanding how it functions to create a website.

Lesson 8 – Advanced WordPress Incorporating previous lesson’s information in the creation of a website composed of multiple pages.

Lesson 9 – Kahoot Review Review course concepts via Kahoot review game

Lesson 10 – Final Project Presentations Allow students to present their final projects (to create a custom webpage using anything that they have learned in the class)
