Arduino Robotics Workshop for Kids . (9-12 Years Old)

This course shows how to start programming interactive objects with the Arduino. The trainer will introduce the basics of electronic components, Arduino Uno unit and the IDE. The trainer will also demonstrate how to connect your computer with the Arduino and walks through loading and executing your first program. Learn about triggering LED lights, controlling actions with push buttons and Morse pcode . Then put your knowledge to work in 2 hand on programming projects.

  • Exploring basic electronics concepts and components.
  • Installing Arduino IDE and drivers
  • Introduction to Arduino programming
  • Adjusting an LED's brightness
  • Using a button to change a circuit's state
  • Sending input from the serial console to the Arduino

Arduino TrainerReza Khosravi is the founder and CEO of Skymics Sdn Bhd a High Tech MSC status company in field of IT and Internet of Things Technology. He has over 15 years of experience in IT and Telecomunication. He is the inventor of the C65 embedded device. He graduated from Staffordshire University with MBA degree in IT. He has More than 5 years of experiance in Smart Cities Solutions, an expert on Embedded System Design, Raspberry Pi and Arduino and an expert on IBM Blunix and IBM Watson . Arduino TrainerTed Chan is an experienced and PMP certified Project Manager with 11 years experience in managing projects. He managed software and IT infrastructure projects for MNCs in Telecommunications, Oil & Gas and Finance sector. He brings with him applied project management techniques on software development, system implementation, data center transformation, process improvement and service development projects. During his tenure, he managed large virtual teams and sub-contractors collaborating remotely across multiple continents and time-zones to deliver complex projects. Ted is also a proficient user of MS Project. He used it for PMO reporting, resource booking, project effort estimation, progress tracking and Earn Value Management. Owing his long and successful career in IT to those who inspired and touched his life, Ted sought to give back to the community with Malaysia Raspberry Pi Club, a computing and STEM education club he founded. He wanted to emulate the success of Raspberry Pi Foundation of UK in increasing computer literacy amongst children. Through conducting hands-on workshops, show & tell sessions and Raspberry Jam, he managed to introduce Raspberry Pi to members of the public from all ages and background. More people gain awareness of an affordable computing platform and learned Python programming, Linux and Physical Computing through those activities he organized.

Arduino TrainerKhayhen Sarveswarah is currently finishing his Masters in Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia. He has over 5 years of experience working with microcontrollers (Arduino, MBED and Raspberry Pi) in different types of applications including Internet of Things (IOT), machine learning, signal processing, image processing, user interfaces and robotics. He also has over 3 years of experience teaching and training on Project Development with Arduino, Game Development with Scratch,App Development with MIT App Inventor and 3D Design & Printing with SketchUp. He has worked on the following projects in the past few years:

  1. Object Sorter based on colour and size of object.
  2. Infinity Mirror Clock paired with an LED Matrix.
  3. Inventory management app for maker spaces.
  4. Fruit grading system based on a light-based inspection system and an ultrasonic reflectance system.
